Everyone knows that the furnace is the main component of the bath, thanks to which the heat in the bath will depend and the desired microclimate will be created in the steam room. Even in ancient times, when building a house or a bathhouse, they “danced from the stove”, that is, they tied the entire construction to the stove, which provided comfortable living conditions in severe winter frosts. Therefore, choosing a stove for a bath is not so easy.
What should be the oven?
Stoves for the bath must have the following characteristics:
- fire safety, compactness, its design to reduce to zero the possibility of a burn;
- to have sufficient power to heat the bath room and to heat the required amount of water, to provide hot steam to all who wash and to dry the room after water procedures;
- economically use up fuel;
- quickly heat up and cool slowly;
- have a simple regulation of heating over a wide range.
Which stove is most suitable for a bath?
At the moment, there are four main types of stoves for a bath: metal, gas, electric and wood. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. Let's dwell on them in more detail.
The gas stove is characterized by rapid heating and the ability to maintain the desired temperature in the steam room. Such an oven would be a good option when network gas is connected to it, otherwise you won’t get enough gas cylinders for heating the bath. Another disadvantage of such a stove is its large dimensions.
A significant advantage for electric furnaces is the absence of problems with the chimney, so carbon monoxide can not be afraid. Such a stove has compact dimensions and is completely safe, it quickly warms up the room to a predetermined temperature and holds it at this level for as long as necessary. The electric furnace is easy to operate, equipped with a thermostat and a fuse for overheating.
Its disadvantages include the dependence on the number of kilowatts of energy that is supplied to the consumer and the possibility of turning it off. Also, the high cost of electricity, which makes the use of such a stove unprofitable.
Like it or not, and wood stoves are the best option for a bath. Only they are able to create the atmosphere of a real Russian bath, in which the very presence in the steam room will allow you to completely relax and recharge your energy for a long time. This version of the stove also has its drawbacks: it requires a lot of wood, has a slow heating, there is a danger of carbon monoxide poisoning.
In this case, it will be preferable to install a finished metal stove. The range of metal stoves is extremely diverse, they provide for the use of factory parts. Such stoves are very practical, economical, environmentally friendly, have fast heating.
They are made of sheet iron, whose thickness is about 5 millimeters. A special foundation is not required for their installation; for filling the stone, they have a special thermal chamber. The heating tank can be positioned on the right side.
But such a stove has its drawbacks: it cools quickly, its surface heats unevenly. Therefore, to preserve heat, such stoves are lined with brick from the outside, leaving an air gap in the middle.
When choosing a stove for your bath, you need to take into account the technical and design capabilities of the building, how much quantity and quality of steam the stove can distinguish under given conditions. The microclimate of your bathhouse will depend on the choice of the furnace, which will affect your mood and physical condition. In a word, "dance from the stove."
