Original game
To date, twelve episodes have been released in the Assassin Creed series (all parts are listed in order below), and this happened over a fairly short period of time. The first part was published not so long ago - in 2007. But what is this project? This is a stealth action in which you have to use dozens of the most diverse fighting techniques to fight with your opponents, as well as very widely use stealth to eliminate enemies quietly and silently. You will play the role of Altair - a member of the Order of the Assassins, who acted in the 12th century and was one of the most influential, although he did everything almost always from the shadows. When the game appeared, it made a splash because it brought a lot of new things to this industry. Clones immediately began to appear, which, unfortunately, did not even come close to the level that the original of the series set. Naturally, no one doubted that a sequel would follow that would tell a new chapter about the heroes of the Assassin Creed series. All parts are connected in order by plot, so it is better to begin your experience in this universe from the first episode. We already talked about the original game, let's move on to the sequel.
Assassin's creed ii
As you already understood, in Assassin Creed, all the parts are connected in order , but each of them has its own main character, and in the second episode it is Ezio, who lived during the Renaissance in the fifteenth century. But what can connect these two characters? First of all, the fact that both of them were part of the Order of the Assassins, which was discussed above. But it is also worth noting that in the first and second games you will not play directly for these characters - your main character will be Desmond, who lives in the twenty-first century and who was kidnapped by some secret service in order to find out his secrets about his ancestors. Naturally, the kidnappers are Altair and Ezio. You do not have to control Desmond, but it is through him that both stories are told. In the second part, even more tricks and opponents have appeared, as well as, of course, a new exciting story that you will absorb with great pleasure in the process of passing the storyline. Many gamers immediately ask the obvious question on the Assassins Creed series: "Which part is better?" Naturally, over time, the graphics become better, more opportunities appear, but in a sense the original had its own flavor, so here everyone has to decide for himself which episode he likes best.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
When it comes to the Assassins Creed series, which part is better, it is very difficult to decide, because each of them is good in its own way and allows you to look at a new story. However, it is worth noting that the third version of the game, called the "Brotherhood", slightly changed the concept. This time you will get the opportunity to fully play for Desmond, and also in parallel will develop the storyline of Ezio. This time, the developers decided not to change the main character, but to continue the story from the same place where it ended the last time. You still have to fight the Templar Order, only now there will be even more parkour in the game, even more different features, as well as new unique enemies with their own features. It is worth noting that the third episode was released in 2010, that is, it received a much more impressive graphic component. It was previously said that in Assassins Creed, the parts are connected in order by a common plot, but this applies more to individual episodes of the series. Here you have to play for Connor, a half-blood Indian who is also a member of the Order of the Assassins, although quite a lot of time has passed since the events of the previous parts. In parallel, you will play for Desmond, as in the previous parts, but it is worth noting that this is the last episode in which you will have such an opportunity - in future versions of this character will no longer be. The game was released in 2012 and made a serious leap forward in all directions, many gamers say that this is probably one of the best episodes in the series, given the fascinating passage of Assassins Creed. Part 3 will offer you a huge number of new features and unique opponents.
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
The list of Assassins Creed parts on this, of course, does not end there. Let Desmond’s story come to an end, the world was saved, and the mystery of the history of the Order of the Assassins was revealed, the developers refused to close the series, although they initially planned to do it. As a result, in 2013 a new part came out, called the "Black Flag". Of course, this happened for a reason, because the new episode tells about the pirate Edward, the grandfather of Connor, who was the main character of the previous part. A distinctive feature of this episode is an impressive open world with full freedom of action, as well as an abundance of sea battles and other chips, such as treasure caves and so on. As you know, this episode has a certain connection with the previous one, but in many respects they are united only by the era and kinship of the main characters, so you can tie them into one plot segment with a big stretch.
Assassin's creed unity
Gamers were looking forward to this game with particular impatience, as the developers promised something unbelievable. And in 2014, another episode of the series called Assassins Creed Unity was released. Parts of the game were, of course, better, but there were also less attractive ones. Was this episode really as magnificent as the creators promised? Of course, it cannot be said that this part surpassed all the previous ones, but it certainly was not worse than the others. Moreover, the possibility of co-passing was introduced into the game. Here begins a new era that attracts so many - the French Revolution. Now you have to play for Arno, but it is not yet known whether this series will be continued. The fact is that this particular project received a lot of positive reviews, but the developers have so far preferred to return to the American theme.
Assassin's creed rogue
In parallel with Unity, another part was developed that relates to the American line - it was called the Outcast. This time you will become a real outcast - Shay, who was part of the Order of the Assassins, and then crossed over to the Templars. The game again concentrates on the ships, as in the Black Flag, so you have a lot to swim. However, unlike Unity, the Outcast was met much more coldly, so it’s quite possible that the developers will stop on the French line, completing the American one.
Upcoming games
At the moment, it is known for sure that a new game is being developed, which will be the ninth in the main series. It will be called Assassin's Creed Syndicate and will take you to Victorian England, that is, as close to modernity as possible - in the 19th century. So far, there is information that the co-passing mode will be available again, but there will be no multi-user mode. The release of the game is scheduled for the end of 2015.
Side games
It is worth noting that this series has a rather impressive set of side projects that are not related to the main line. For example, there are several games designed specifically for weaker consoles and which are analogues of the original projects. You can also mention the Assassin's Creed Chronicles trilogy, in which the gameplay is completely redesigned - the projects are platform games with a side view and throw gamers into the most unexpected countries, such as China and Russia.
