Jewelery in "VoB" refers to the main activities. This quite popular activity is capable of bringing a lot of gold to the hero. Jewelry, often referred to as Juva by the players themselves, appeared in the main game along with The Burning Crusade.
basic information
As a jeweler, a player can always provide himself with the necessary amount of gold. This popular profession is worth trying on at least one of the heroes. Studying jewelry gives special bonuses to all characteristics - this effect is achieved through special jewelry stones. This profession is available for study to absolutely all classes and all specializations. It can be taken both for the main character, and for an additional, so-called "twinkle".
If a player decided to fight on the side of the Alliance, then he should take a closer look at the draenei, since this race has a special bonus to the skill "Stone Carving".
About Resources
The main resources in jewelry at WoW are metal, ore and precious stones. At the start of mastering the profession, the player receives the "Sifting" skill, which helps with the search for gems in various types of ore.
The stone obtained after "Sifting", and not dust (a common case), will have a certain level. For example, if copper ore was used in the process, the player is unlikely to be able to get a sample of blue or epic stone.
Also, an ideal “couple” for the profession of a jeweler is the skill of mining, which owns which produces all the necessary resources. Ore veins allow you to acquire ore, simple and precious stones. Part of the ore is used in remelting, part in processing; stones are used to create special statues that can be useful in the process of battle; as for precious stones, they are used in the manufacture of beautiful jewelry.
Very often, to create any things, frames will be needed that are either made by the players themselves or bought from special NPCs. Merchants of this type are almost always next to jewelry teachers at VoB.
The main products received by jewelers
The player who has chosen this profession as the main lesson can create a variety of things. Mostly jewelers specialize in the following products:
- Rings - have many different characteristics.
- Necklaces - also have many different properties. Among the necklaces there are those that help give strength to the whole group at once (taking into account the limited number of charges).
- Other types of jewelry - may occupy the remaining slots. They are distinguished from other objects by the absence of the effect of “armor” (for example, jewelry on the head, etc.).
- Statues - they all have the same purpose: the player uses them, they materialize and perform the hilling, which lasts a certain amount of time. Statues of the best categories provide the hero with better treatment.
- Accessories (trinkets) - as a rule, images of various animals form the basis of their image. Such trinkets are endowed with various properties, for example, an accessory in the form of a panther is able to increase the “Invisibility” stat.
- Gems / stones - with their help, you can raise various stats. Such gems are inserted into other finished objects, transferring their effect to them. Their production becomes possible only after the player in the jewelry business "VoB" reaches 300 & nbsp; level.
Additional Products
In addition to jewelry, which we already talked about in the previous chapter, players can also create:
- weapons - each jeweler gets the skill of creating weapons for a certain class;
- mounts - both their creators and other players can ride these vehicles;
- satellites - after the addition of Pandaria, jewelers got the opportunity to create their own satellites, which could be transferred to other players as a gift;
- fan things - this category includes all those items that do not have any "weight" in the game, but are used simply for the "fan".

More on stones
Almost all high-level players need stones, which are the main product of any jeweler. Together with the Burning Crusade addon, the developers took the trouble to add unique things to the game with small indentations (sockets). Players only got access to such items after reaching level 60, and they were invented specifically for those who wanted to master the jewelry business (VoB 3.3.5 and earlier updates).
The master could insert stones into the recesses (or sockets), which they created. Of course, there are other ways to get gems, however, the most reliable is still considered mastering the profession of a jeweler. The stones differ primarily in color: the main color scheme colors them in reddish, bluish and yellowish shades, and the additional (obtained through the combination) - in purple, greenish and orange. As for the recesses on the objects, they can also be divided into three primary colors. To receive a special bonus, the player must insert the corresponding gems into the sockets - red to red, yellow to yellow, purple to red and blue, etc. With the release of the Legion add-on for VoB, jewelry has lost a significant amount of things with recesses. Despite this, the gems managed to maintain their relevance among users who continued to use them on the remaining available items.
Meta-stones and prismatic gems
Of particular note is the unique type of stones called "meta-stones." Their main difference is that they are suitable for special meta-nests that are placed on the surface of combat helmets. Moreover, the activation of such a stone has several additional requirements. One of these requirements, for example, implies that the character must have several other gems with him, which will be part of the active equipment. Getting bonuses from this type of stones can be quite a challenge.
In conclusion, it is worth mentioning the existence of prismatic gems and sockets. Such items are painted simultaneously in blue, yellow and red.
Stones in the Lich King Fall update
The opportunity to create such gems appeared in jewelers with the release of the addon Wrath of the Lich King. An object called the Dragon's Eye was used, with the help of which it was possible to make jewelry stones and epic jewelry. This ingredient does not belong to the category of "personal" items, so it is easily purchased at any auction. As for independent mining, only jewelry masters are capable of this, which we will discuss in more detail in the next chapter.
Prismatic Stone Mining Tips
In total, there are 3 methods for obtaining prismatic gems in jewelry. The guide to “VoB” 3.3.5 is as follows:
- We go to Dalaran to Timothy Jones to perform daily jewelry tasks. Passing one such quest rewards the player with the Dalaran sign of a jeweler, who can later be exchanged for the necessary Eye.
- We look closely at the mobs living in Northrend - sometimes after death they throw out several damaged necklaces. Note that despite the fact that this item falls to the heroes of any class, only jewelers can use it. The holder of the necklace is given access to a special quest called "Repairing the necklace" - after passing it, you can become the owner of the next Dalaran sign.
- Among the new recipes added to the main game along with “The Fall of the Lich King”, one can distinguish “Ice Prism”. In addition to turning green gems into blue gems, this recipe gives the jeweler a chance to get one Eye of the Dragon.
How to upgrade jewelry in "VoB"?
You can engage in pumping this profession either in parallel with the hero, or at higher levels. A fairly popular way (albeit a little expensive) is to visit thematic auctions, where various gems and ores are sold.
The second main occupation, users often choose mining or enchantment (hunting). Mining helps with the continuous production of ore - the necessary resource for pumping jewelry, while the chanting is engaged in "spraying" those items that the player could not get rid of at any auction.
Some recipes can only be accessed after completing daily quests. As a reward, the player is awarded several "jeweler marks" - this is a kind of game currency, which is used to purchase the necessary items. Also with these badges you can pay for unique gems.
Of course, pumping jewelry is an expensive and expensive undertaking, while the profession is really worth all the costs and fully pays off in the future.
How to make money as a jeweler?
Many jewelry guides at VoB are often advised to sell the most sought-after gems, which are in good demand with the local audience. Some goods will be suitable for the heroes of only certain classes, some will suit everyone, while being universal. Such universal stones have standard characteristics, demanded always and everywhere - we are talking about strength, agility, intelligence, stamina and spirit.
Pumping the profession we are considering in the project opens up access to a wide variety of subjects, and as we said earlier, many of these subjects can be auctioned. Special reagents, which are obtained through "spraying" and sold in exactly the same way as other goods, are in great demand at such events.
