Cucumbers Parisian gherkin belong to the early ripening, pollinated by insects and a very popular variety. The vegetation period (from seedlings to fruit ripening) is from 38 to 45 days.
Grade description
Cucumbers Paris Gherkin are designed for cultivation under film shelter, in open ground, and in greenhouse greenhouses. In plants, female inflorescences predominate. This gherkin belongs to the bee pollinated variety. Cucumbers are dark green in color, small, elongated, fairly dense, black-spiked. The optimal size for collection: length 7-11 cm, weight 50-90 gr. Zelentsy possess wonderful taste, without bitterness.
Cucumbers Parisian gherkin is consumed not only fresh, but also used for canning and pickling.
Grade Benefits
Cucumbers Paris Gherkin, even in adverse climatic conditions, have high rates and excellent taste.
The advantage of the variety is its increased resistance to diseases such as spotting and powdery mildew. In addition, the variety has a fairly friendly yield and high market performance.
Planting and growing
Moravian and Parisian cucumber varieties are grown both by seedling method and by seeds immediately on the beds. During the summer, you can get a crop several times. For their cultivation in open ground, it is necessary to divert a sunny area, protected from cold winds, having fertile, well-warmed soil. These varieties are demanding on heat and moisture. It should be remembered that under the cucumbers the soil should not dry out, because bitter fruits can form.
For growing seedlings, various nutrient mixtures are used, to which mineral fertilizers are added . The density of planting in open ground is 3-5 plants per 1 sq. M. In the greenhouse - 2-4 plants per 1 sq. M.
When planting seeds, they are pre-soaked in a special solution with fertilizers. It is prepared from the following calculation: 1 liter of water, 1 teaspoon of nitrophosphate and 1 tbsp. spoon of wood ash.
With the onset of steady heat, when the soil warms up to 12-13 ยฐ C, the Parisian gherkin (seeds) begin to plant. Cucumber is sown on ridges in two rows into grooves made, the distance between which should be 60 cm. The interval between seeds is on average 6-10 cm. In the presence of light soil, the seeds are sown to a depth of 4-5 cm, heavy - 3-4 cm. Thinning carried out after the appearance of one or two of these leaves.
During cultivation, the plant must be tied to the trellis, forming in 1 stalk. Above 2-3 leaves, the lateral shoots are pinched.
Care
This variety of cucumbers is unpretentious. Care consists in timely and constant watering, near-root cultivation and top dressing. It should be watered after 3-4 days with exceptionally warm water. In addition, this should be done only in the evening after the sun sets. Fertilizing cucumbers is necessary once every 10 days (for the entire growing season about 2-3 times). The ideal mixture for feeding is to dilute 1 liter of manure in one bucket of water (can be replaced with urea). Harvesting is recommended to be carried out at least 1 time in 2-3 days, as more rare harvests can delay the development of the ovary and reduce yield.
