The Atronach Forge is a specialized building in The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, which allows you to create all kinds of scrolls and items that cannot be obtained on other machines. It is worth noting that here you can also create those items that are crafted on normal machines.
What is a forge?
The Atronach Forge is a magical machine that is used to create a wide variety of items, including scrolls, weapons, armor, etc. This forge is located directly under the College of Winterhold (location Winterhold) in Midden, which can be accessed only through two special hatches:
- the first hatch is in the Support Hall directly under the stairs;
- the second can be found in the courtyard of the college near the entrance to the Elemental Hall (to the left of the doors).
The Atronach Forge itself is an analogue of the standard forge, but is more specialized for mages. It is worth noting that few of the newcomers know that with this tool it is not even necessary to download blacksmithing in order to produce daedric equipment. Thus, if you did not initially try to pump Blacksmithing, but at the same time were actively developing the Sorcery branch, then for you the atronach smithy is an excellent opportunity to make daedric equipment for yourself. It is worth noting that for the manufacture of a sufficiently large number of items, the forge requires the use of the so-called Sigil Stone.
How to get the Sigil stone?
To get the Sigil Stone, you should first develop the Sorcery branch to level 90, and then complete the quest to learn a special ritual spell. You can take this quest from the Wizard of Witchcraft (Finis Gestor), who walks in different locations of the College of Winterhold.
Initially, Finis Gestor will provide the hero with a scroll with the Dremor call spell (the atronach smithy in Skyrim cannot be used here), after which he will ask for the Sigil Stone we need, which is located in Oblivion, and then sends us to the roof. When you call a Dremora, he, angry for his call from Oblivion to Nirn, begins the battle, after which we need to kill him. After you kill the summoned dremor, you will need to call it again, and only after the third such re-call the daedra will still settle down and begin to carry out your orders. In particular, he makes a promise that after the next call he will already bring stone to Dovakin. Of course, Dremora will keep his word, and after calling it you will receive a quest item, which can then be attributed to the master.
Helpful information
If you still donโt know where to find the atronach smithy, often enough the recipe for setting up a smithy in your house is knocked out of nameless sorcerers.
After the dremora or atrons die, you can search their bodies to partially restore the ingredients spent on the call. If you try to create something right away with the help of the forge, then the bodies will immediately disappear.
Bugs
In some versions of the game, a certain bug may appear if the player tries to craft daedric boots. In particular, after you try to take an item from the forge, it does not appear in the inventory, nor does the mass of the item appear, regardless of whether you will look at your inventory or someone elseโs. However, it is worth noting that the companion can use the armor as more effective for him, but at the same time it will still be absent in his inventory. In order not to encounter such a bug, you can simply scream or in some other way throw the boots from the forge, after which it is normal to pick them up.
