OGRIP - what is it? OGRIP: transcript

Each entrepreneur has several individual numbers that are assigned by the tax authority. This is the TIN and OGRIP. The concept of TIN is more popular. This code is available to all enterprises, entrepreneurs and individuals. With OGRIP the situation is somewhat different. What is OGRIP? We will tell in this article.

OGRIP - what does it mean

Consider this concept. The official decoding of the OGRNIP sounds like the main state registration number of an individual entrepreneur. If the TIN contains information only about the number of the supervisory inspection and the serial number during registration, then much more information is encrypted in the OGRNIP code.

How the OGRIP code is decrypted

The code is a 15-bit number in the format SGGKKRRRRRRRRRRP,

Where:

  • the first character C with a value of "3" defines the sign of an individual entrepreneur;
  • a group of GGs from 2 and 3 digits indicates the final 2 digits of the year of registration;
  • A QC group of categories 4 and 5 determines the code of the subject of the Russian Federation in accordance with regulatory acts of Russian legislation.
  • the RRRRRRRRR group from the 6th to the 14th category displays the serial registration number of the IP registration act;
  • The 15th digit P is a control number, with the help of which the OGRNIP code is checked for reliability.

Where to find the issue date

Date of issue - date of assignment of the registration number by the tax inspectorate with the simultaneous entry of information in the register of registration of individual entrepreneurs. You can find the date of issue directly in the certificate of the OGRNIP of an individual entrepreneur, in an extract from the unified register, on the website of the tax service under the heading "Business risks: check yourself and the counterparty." To do this, use the nalog.ru web service and find the appropriate section.

How to see the OGRIP for an entrepreneur on a tax website

In the window that opens, enter the required data.

Search by TIN or last name

When and where do they receive

Entrepreneurs receive a registration certificate after submitting documents for registration with the tax authorities.

The submission of documents by citizens of the Russian Federation over 18 years of age occurs in person or by using electronic services on the IFTS website.

To do this, prepare the documents:

  • completed application for state registration in the form of No. P21001;
  • copy of the main pages of the passport;
  • a document confirming the payment of a fee in the amount of 800 rubles.

The address of the relevant tax office where documents are received can be clarified on the nalog.ru website under the heading "Address and payment details of your office".

After that, the Federal Tax Service Inspectorate checks the data and makes a decision on registration or refusal. In the case of a positive decision, the applicant receives a notification of registration as an IP, a certificate of registration and an extract from the Unified State Register on Registration of Entries on making an entry in a single register. From this moment, the entrepreneur has the obligation to report on the results of his activities, tax deductions, etc.

How to find out your OGRIP

If an individual is not registered as an IP, OGRNIP does not have a number, and there is no point in looking for the answer to the question "what is it - OGRIP". He does not need a code until he becomes an entrepreneur.

An individual entrepreneur may check the OGRNIP in the documents received at the INFS after registration:

  • in an extract from the registry OGRNIP;
  • in the notice of registration.

In addition, you can obtain information about OGRNIP by TIN in the service egrul.nalog.ru. To do this, in the corresponding input field, you need to specify the TIN number and click the "Find" button. On this page, search by last name and first name is also available. Last name, first name, middle name and region of residence are written in the appropriate fields. In case of data discovery, information will be presented in the form of a table, which indicates the full name, TIN, OGRNIP, date of assignment of the code. The user has the opportunity to download data on the extract form from the USRIP, which also indicates the types of activities specified during registration, and information on identification numbers in the FIU and the Social Insurance Fund.

How to find OGRNIP from another IP

The task is also easily solved. To do this, you must have his TIN or minimum information with the name, surname and address of the place of residence. Search similarly occurs through a request on the website egrul.nalog.ru. In the relevant fields, the available data is entered. If there is a registered IP, a result is issued with up-to-date data, TIN and OGRNIP codes as of the date of the request.

It will not be superfluous to have an extract from the USRIP in paper form (with a blue seal of the tax office) or in electronic form (with an electronic digital signature). The extract sheet will provide information about the entrepreneur, including his citizenship, the types of activities that he can engage in, data on the availability of licenses, and details of registration documents. Only passport data and the address of the place of residence of the individual entrepreneur are excluded.

Why is it needed and check for counterparty reliability

The OGRNIP code is a confirmation of the fact of registration of individual entrepreneurs with the tax authorities and the existence of an entry in the unified state register of individual entrepreneurs (USRIP). It is assigned once and subsequently does not change.

OGRIP is indicated in the details and on the seal of the entrepreneur

Along with such data as TIN, name of individual entrepreneur, registration address, information about the bank account, OGRNIP refers to the basic information about the entrepreneur and is mandatory for indicating in contracts, details of documents, powers of attorney, etc.

Example company card for individual entrepreneurs

The OGRNIP code allows government agencies to structure, accumulate and analyze incoming information on the activities of all individual entrepreneurs registered in the Russian Federation.

The managers, accountants, lawyers of the company knowledge of the identifying codes of the entrepreneur allows you to check:

  • the fact of registration with the IP;
  • data provided for accuracy.

In addition, in 2006, the Resolution of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation dated October 12, 2006 No. 53 appeared with a recommended list of measures to check the counterparty's reliability and to show “due diligence”. Over the past few years, the number of requests from the IFTS to provide information regarding a particular client or partner has increased significantly. To remove suspicions of unreasonable tax benefits, you may be asked to provide:

  • constituent and registration documents received from the counterparty (including TIN, OGRN, OGRNIP certificates),
  • copies of contracts and accounting documents;
  • copies of declarations and reports of the counterparty for a certain period;
  • waybills for the performed cargo transportation;
  • history of acquaintance with a leading link;
  • justification of the reasons for choosing a company as a supplier, contractor or buyer;
  • commercial offers and prices, on the basis of which the analysis of the market and prices was carried out;
  • screenshots of the counterparty’s site, correspondence by e-mail with employees;
  • photos of advertisements, banners, office premises and warehouses of a supplier or client;
  • etc.
Taking due diligence measures when choosing a counterparty will reduce the risk of tax claims

Therefore, the collection of information and verification of all details will not only protect the business from probable financial damage, but also reduce the number of possible claims from the tax authorities.

Getting duplicate

If the notification of registration and registration is damaged or if it is lost, you can contact the tax office for a duplicate. To do this, the entrepreneur must write a free-form application with a request for restoration, present a passport and a receipt for the payment of state duty in the amount of 200 rubles. The application shall indicate the date of entry into the USRIP, TIN, PSRN, information about the individual entrepreneur and the reason for receiving the duplicate. You can contact both personally and through a representative. In this case, a proxy must be provided to a proxy.

In the course of independent work, an entrepreneur constantly has to study new information, track changes in legislation, keep abreast of market trends. Therefore, the question "OGRIP - what is it and why is it needed" is one of the easiest IPs to face.
