When you find yourself in the world of Fallout, you can take your breath away, regardless of which part you play. The fact is that this project is characterized by an open world full of various characters, buildings, locations, objects, heroes and tasks. You can do whatever you want - to rob, work on guard, become a trader and so on. You can advance along the storyline or complete a huge number of different side quests. Nothing restricts you in your actions, so you will get incredibly much pleasure from the game. But it is best to start the process with certain knowledge, as this will make your life in the post-apocalyptic world much easier. What you should first look carefully at in Fallout: New Vegas is a weapon. Itβs not just a lot here, itβs unrealistic a lot, and you will spend dozens of hours finding each of the samples. There is no sense in considering each of them separately, since there are really more than a hundred of them - you will become familiar with this during the game. Now the main task is to deal with what kind of weapons in general are in this project.
Firearms

The first and most extensive group of weapons is a firearm. It is the most in the game, and you will use it most often. However, in Fallout: New Vegas, this type of weapon is so diverse that it is subdivided into several subspecies so that you can easily navigate it. The first is pistols, the simplest weapon that you will most easily get. Next , rifles, carbines and assault rifles are combined into one group - one of the most popular types of weapons among firearms. For lovers of ambushes and long-range shooting, there is a fairly wide range of sniper rifles. There are also submachine guns for fans of rate of fire, and combat and hunting rifles for those who prefer short-range firepower. And even the list does not end there - there is also heavy small arms, which includes a variety of machine guns, miniguns, and so on. Thus, in Fallout: New Vegas, weapons that shoot ammunition are very widespread. But do not forget that this is a post-apocalyptic fantasy world where there are other types of weapons.
Energy weapon
For those who want to fight in a futuristic style, and not in the old fashioned way with a firearm, this game can offer energy weapons. It needs to be charged not with cartridges, but with a special energy battery, which you will have to constantly look for in the vastness of the world of Fallout: New Vegas. Weapons belonging to this type are also divided into several subspecies, which, however, are much smaller than in the case of firearms. In fact, there are only three of them - pistols, rifles and heavy weapons. But in each of them there are about twenty units of different models, so you will have plenty to choose from if you want to switch from a firearm to clean energy. There is one way to add weapons to Fallout: New Vegas - mods. But, as it was said earlier, the game has so many models of various weapons that you will not have time to think about modifications - the set that the developers offer is enough for you.
Explosives
Of course, in this game there is also a weapon that can cause impressive explosions. Even it is divided into several groups, each of which is very different from the others. The first group is grenade launchers, a special weapon that allows you to shoot explosive shells. The second group is manual weapons, that is, those grenades that you can throw yourself, without the use of additional devices. Well, the third group is mines, explosive shells that you lay in the ground, fasten on the walls and so on. They fire when the enemy is in close proximity to them. As you can see, even in this section there is a huge variety of weapons - and think about the fact that Fallout: New Vegas has a unique weapon that is found only in a single copy. Naturally, this is not only explosives - each type of weapon has its own unique patterns.
Steel arms
Many fights in the game will take place at close range, and you may not have a suitable firearm or energy weapon. That's when edged weapons come to your aid, which also does not consume ammunition or energy. Here you can distinguish cutting models, percussion, as well as throwing - and in each subspecies there are quite a few models that you can use.
Melee weapons
At first glance, this section may seem rather strange, because hand-to-hand combat is so called just because it does not use any weapons. But in fact, everything is quite logical, because in this section there are a variety of gloves, bandages, brass knuckles and other items that can enhance your hand punch. You also always need to carry such weapons with you in case you run out of ammo, cold weapons break down and your supply of explosives runs out. But do not think that these items are only emergency, but in fact they have low damage indicators. The same Ballistic Fist does more damage than most edged weapons. Therefore, do not underestimate melee weapons - they will come in handy in certain situations.
Weapon Codes
As you can see, the types of weapons in the game are just incredible. In each of the types and subspecies described above, there are from ten to thirty weapons. But how to get the desired item if you are not particularly lucky or you do not want to spend a hundred hours of your life? Naturally, there are codes for Fallout: New Vegas, weapons with their help can be obtained as easily as possible. In the game you will need to call the console using the tilde, and there you already need to enter the code that you need. In the case of weapons, the code is common - "additem ID quantity", where instead of ID you need to enter the number of the item you need, and instead of "quantity" - the number of items that you need. You will have to find out the identifier of the weapons you need - that's exactly what cheats work in Fallout: New Vegas. Getting weapons is not a problem - just enter identifiers that are unique for each item, so you can hardly make a mistake.
