In the early nineties, no one even heard of such a person as the Goiti Court. He was born in 1968 in Japan, in the city of Nagano, where he grew up, was educated, and then began to work as an undertaker. Naturally, like all young people in Japan, he came under the influence of the peak gaming industry. Like millions of other teenagers and young people, he spent most of his time playing a variety of games, dreaming of creating something similar himself. In 1993, he decided to try his hand and sent his resume to the company Human Entertainment, which at that time had been involved in the development of a variety of digital products, including computer games, for ten years.

Having sent his resume, the Goiti Court began to wait for an answer. However, there was no reaction from the company during the first, nor during the second, nor during any of the following weeks. After waiting a lot of time, the 25-year-old guy has already come to terms with the fact that he will have to continue to work as an undertaker. However, he soon received a sudden call. It turns out that they called him directly from Human Entertainment. After a brief conversation, the Court realized that a miracle had happened - he was directly hired. That is how the journey up to one of the most famous game designers in the world began today.

However, at that moment when he was just starting to work, no one naturally knew him. He was attributed to the Super Fire Pro Wrestling 3 Final Bout project, which was the next game in the series about wrestling. Even then, he proved himself very well, so for the next project, which turned out to be a continuation of his first game, Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special, Suda got the opportunity to also write a script. It was then that his first breakthrough happened, since the designer was able to introduce a rather interesting story into the fighting game with the ending, which many gamers still remember. In general, it was something incredible, and even then everyone began to understand that the creation of games by this person can result in amazing results.

The company also realized that there was no reason to stand idle for such a talent, so by 1995 he had been allocated his own project, called Twilight Syndrome, which was born in 1996. It was an adventure game in the horror genre, which had elements of a visual novel in it. The result was impressive, so the company gave the green light to the release of the second part, called Twilight Syndrome: Investigation. In it, the Court continued to create incredible plot twists, and in 1997 pleased all lovers of computer games with the Moonlight Syndrome project. This project became the ideological successor of those games on which the designer worked before, and as a result surpassed both first parts.

It was then that the turning point came. Despite the fact that the Court received his own project, which he developed into a full-fledged series, he felt that his possibilities were limited. He wanted to grow and develop, without adapting to anyone. In addition, Human Entertainment just started to have serious problems, which as a result resulted in the company closing in 2000. However, the hero of the article did not wait for this moment.

In 1998, it became known that the Court did not intend to remain with the company in which it had started working five years ago. His goal was much larger and global. The fact is that he decided to establish his own company. That is how he imagined the lack of boundaries and control. That is how he could begin to create his own games, which would correspond exclusively to his vision. As it became clear in the end, it was a happy moment not only for the designer himself, but also for millions of gamers around the world, as they were able to enjoy such masterpieces as No More Heroes or Killer7, which became full-fledged classics. But first things first: you will find out how the company of this genius of computer games developed, and also what he himself could achieve.

The beginning of work (1999-2002)

The first independent project created by the game designer Goiti Suda within the framework of his own company was the game The Silver Case, which eventually acquired the legendary status. It was made in a style that was similar to what the maestro created before. That is, it was an adventure game with elements of a visual novel, but here it was already felt that the designer was not restrained by any shackles of leadership, because he himself was his own leader.

However, a truly outstanding project was the game Flower, Sun and Rain, in which the Court abandoned the elements of the visual novel, completely translating the action into real time. The events of this game are partially related to the plot of the previous one, however, the connection is far from so strong that it is necessary to play the first part first. The game as a whole was accepted positively, but it was still not perfect, in particular in matters of graphics. However, the designer already knew in which direction he needed to work, so he soon decided to go to a new level.

First European Release (2003-2005)

In 2004, something unusual happened: Goiti Sudi, whose games had previously only appeared on the Japanese market, released the game Michigan: Report from Hell, which also appeared in Europe. Moreover, this was not the only difference between the project and previous games. The fact is that there was a strong change in the plot and stylistic orientations. It was a survival horror game in which you had to play as a video operator of a news channel that investigates paranormal incidents, and you lose if you did not manage to do this before your film runs out.

And a year later, what happened was remembered by the gaming community forever. The fact is that 2005 was the year of the release of the game Killer7, a first-person shooter that millions fell in love with. Of course, not everyone liked it, since the control was not too familiar, and the plot was extremely complex and dark. However, if you were not a fan of gaming fast food, you most likely appreciated this masterpiece, which set the tone for the further work that Goiti Suda did. The career of a designer from that moment went up, and a wide variety of masterpieces awaited gamers ahead. However, before that, he released a sequel to his first independent game, dubbed The 25th Ward: The Silver Case. Here he again returned to the visual novel, but he cannot be blamed for this, because this genre in Japan is extremely popular to this day.

Further development (2006-2008)

After such success, the Court began to produce a wide variety of games, and the first outstanding project was the game Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked, which followed the storyline of a famous anime, but allowed gamers to independently experience the events of a popular creation in the context of a story fighting game.

Then came another memorable Contact project, which was made in the style of a role-playing game. He also had a very interesting and deep plot, which by that time had already become the hallmark of this designer. In Japan, Goiti Court was loved by so many, but it began to be appreciated already abroad.

Following the successes of Samurai, Suda decided to go this way further, so he made the game in another animated series, extremely popular in Japan, namely Blood +. But not this game illuminated this time period, but something completely different.

No More Heroes is the name most likely heard even by those people who are not keen on computer games. As an ordinary Travis guy, you will have to go through a lot after you get an ancient katana at an auction, after which you will find yourself in the world of hired killers, where you will need to crack down on opponents before they crack down on you. An incredible combat system, a large open world, a fascinating story, a sea of ​​action and blood - all this brought world fame to the Court and its company. In 2007, everyone knew that Grasshopper Manufacture existed and that it was she who was responsible for creating this masterpiece.

A year later, the Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse project, which was again done in the style of a Survival Horror, followed, borrowed a lot from Michigan: Report from Hell, but it looked already much more impressive, and also provided much more opportunities for the player. Even greater success (2009-2011)

Naturally, you need to be crazy so as not to use the success of your best project. And the Court managed to do this as well as possible. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, the second part of the project, received even higher ratings from critics and even greater recognition from gamers.

This was followed by the rather successful action of Shadows of the Damned, a game based on the next anime Rebuild of Evangelion, as well as a Sdatcher game radio show based on the Konami game called Snatcher.

Active activity (2012-2014)

2012 was the most active year in the history of the company. First, an incredibly successful shoot 'em up project called Sine Mora was released, which received even better grades than the second part of No More Heroes. Then the Diabolical Pitch simulator came out, followed by the unusual humorous horror action Lollipop Chainsaw, where you were offered to hunt zombies with a chainsaw as a cheerleader. The company then decided to capitalize on the success of Sine Mora by releasing Liberation Maiden in the same genre. In the same year, the action-platformer Black Knight Sword appeared, in which you as the dark knight had to defeat the White Princess.

Then there was also 2013, in which a very stylish slider Killer Is Dead was released, and Suda himself was distracted by writing a script for the visual novella Liberation Maiden SIN, which served as a continuation of his game. Not without a transition to the world of computer games of the next anime, this time Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day.

What now? (2015-2017 years)

After a long break, the Court released an updated version of its first game, The Silver Case, in 2016. It happened in January, and in October a completely new project Let It Die appeared, another slasher with the main female heroine. The game was well received by the public and critics, but did not become a masterpiece.

What are the plans for the future for the company and its chief designer? This year, no releases are already planned, but for 2018 the Court has planned the release of an updated version of The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, the second part of The Silver Case, updated back in 2016.
