The architect of the station is A. Krasovsky, who designed a very comfortable two-story building with a superstructure in the middle. The facade of the building after reconstruction, over which architects A. Gurkov, A. Vorontsov and S. Kuznetsov worked, began to seem one-story. But in fact, the floors are simply hidden behind it.

Two halls have retained their original appearance and fit very well into the ensemble of the building after reconstruction.

Today, the Paveletsky station (metro station "Paveletskaya") serves about 10 thousand passengers. On long-distance trains, you can go to the regions of the middle and lower Volga region, get to the Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Lipetsk regions. Also, trains depart from it to some areas of the Caucasus region and to Donbass.
