Homemade toys have always been valued above the factory ones. After all, they kept in themselves the warmth of the hands of the craftswoman. It’s easy to distinguish such a thing from the factory one, since all these small details, starting from tiny buttons and satin ribbons, ending with natural flavors, clearly give out the whole truth.
Room animal
Currently, soft toys remain popular among people of all ages: someone prefers them in a fun game, while someone collects rare handmade creations. But all of them are united by the desire and love for crafts made of fabric and fluffy synthetic winterizer.
So, you can create yourself a soft friend, for example a lamb. They are sewn from fluffy fabric with curls to emphasize their natural features. In addition, the lamb pattern is very easy to draw, and the toy looks organically in any interior, since, basically, it is a wonderful addition to boring rooms.
Foundation building
To become the owner of a wonderful animal, we need to create patterns of a sheep, a lamb or any other creature that you like. To do this, take breadboard or plain office paper and a sharp pencil. Draw the details of which the lamb pattern will consist. We got five blanks, which we will use later when cutting:
- Taurus, resembling a horizontally elongated cloud in shape.
- The head is oval, which we will also cut out of felt.
- The lamb pattern also will not do without paws, ears and eyes.

Now is the time to collect all the materials that we will need for further work. All of them are interchangeable. Therefore, you can vary all the components, based on your taste:
- Felt. In this case, it is the main component of the lamb, which is very convenient to use. It can be stitched, glued, bent and cut out absolutely any elaborate patterns. In addition, the colors of the fabric are very bright and rich. Therefore, the toy will be very beautiful.
- Filler. Sintepuh, synthetic winterizer or straw - all that you want.
- Sewing tools.
- Patterns of a lamb, lamb or any other creation, which we previously cut in the required quantity. The main thing is to cut everything carefully.
Felt lamb: pattern, construction and sewing
It's time to start the best part: sewing toys from pre-prepared parts. This whole process will not take you more than an hour, and the result will be a soft sheep.
- We connect the parts of the body with sewing pins and gently sew on the sewing machine, leaving a small hole. With it, we twist the toy, straightening all the seams and bends. Now you need to fill the workpiece with synthetic winterizer, carefully distributing the packing inside the part. You adjust the amount of filler yourself. But keep in mind that seams should not be visible due to tension. Manually sew up the hole, hiding the threads in the layers of fabric.
- Sew the face of a black felt lamb. We do all this manually with an ordinary seam. Since the color of the thread and fabric are the same, you should not worry about external aesthetics. If you are still afraid to spoil the toy, then just glue the part on the body with good glue. In addition, watch for wrinkles that need to be straightened out in a timely manner.
- We sew together two pairs of legs and ears of black felt and slightly fill them, after turning them out. Sew on the right places, maintaining the symmetry of the toy.
- The lamb pattern also contains a pattern for the eyes, which can be made of dark felt or use purchased beads or buttons. Add a bow from the ribbon to the imaginary neck of the animal, embroider the nose with pink thread floss.
So our homemade toy is ready - a wonderful alternative to any purchased one. She turned out to be very comfortable and kind. Therefore, you can please others by presenting it to friends or by leaving it as a small interior doll.
