Like all other heating devices, electric wall heating radiators are required to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature in the cold season. As a rule, in a residential building, autonomous or central heating is provided. However, the latter is notable for its unstable operation. Independent heating also sometimes fails. In such a situation, electric heaters will serve as an excellent addition to the system.
Application
It is believed that electric wall heating radiators, compared with conventional gas appliances, are more expensive to operate. This is due to the regular increase in energy prices. But there are electrical appliances for economical heating. In addition, it happens that electric radiators are the only option, since gas is supplied to consumers intermittently or gas distribution networks do not pass through the area at all.
Electric wall heating radiators can be installed in almost any convenient place. It is worth paying attention that at present, these heating devices are used as a reserve or additional source of heat.
Benefits
- Reliability and durability.
- These devices are allowed to be used in rooms with high humidity.
- Security.
- You can set your own mode in individual rooms.
- Automatic maintenance of operating parameters.
- No permissions are required to connect.
- Easy to install.
- Reasonable cost.
- Silent work.
Classification
Depending on the version of the radiator grill, these radiators can be divided into two main types:
- Liquid.
- Liquid-free.
Let's consider them in more detail.
Fluid devices
Liquid electric wall radiators (reviews about them are mostly positive) in their sections have special channels filled with coolant. Like water heaters, heat from a liquid is transferred to a metal surface, and then heat is exchanged between the air and the sections (convective heat transfer) and elements inside the room (radiant heat transfer). The only difference from water heating is the fact that there is no circulation in electrical appliances, and the heating of the liquid is carried out by a heating element.
The working fluid may be oil. Electric oil-filled wall radiators do not have open heating elements, in this regard, oxygen is not burned, as a result, small dust particles are not formed.
Liquid appliances can either be connected to a water heating system or function as a separate heating device.
Liquidless radiators
Unlike the previous version, in this case, the use of a coolant is not provided, and heat transfer from the heating elements occurs directly to the metal heat transfer surface. They cannot be connected to a water heating system and installed as an independent heating device.
Liquid-free wall-mounted heating radiators heat up faster, but they also cool down faster. These devices have a small mass, in this regard, they are much easier to transfer from one room to another.
Choosing an electric convector
For a long time, there has been competition between central heating appliances and electric radiators (directly wall mounted). Recently, it was the electric wall heating radiators that occupied the leading position. Since these devices can be installed in any convenient place. Due to its compactness, such an element not only fits perfectly into the interior, but also does not impede the free movement of the room.
A standard electrical appliance (not a wall) in most cases is located in the middle of the room. In addition, an electric cable stretches towards him, which you can trip over.
For water heaters, a supply of communications is required, which also creates difficulties in moving and take away living space, moreover, they are more bulky.
Security measures
To ensure safe operation of the electrical appliance, the following requirements must be observed:
- The device must be regularly cleaned from dust, and most importantly, to prevent dust from getting on its electrical part.
- When connecting to the network, grounding should be used.
- Indoor humidity should not exceed 80%.
- It is not advisable to connect the device to the same outlet with other electrical devices, as this can cause a network congestion.
