Harris was born on March 7, 1957. It happened in the city of Nottingham (UK). His father was engaged in the manufacture of printing products, was an activist in the labor movement. Robert Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cambridge University. The life of the future writer was closely connected with journalism - Robert began his career in the British company BBC. His first projects were Panorama and Newsnight. In 1987, Harris received the position of political observer in the Sunday newspaper The Observer.
