How to make a plate of paper in different ways

• A newspaper, although ordinary sheets of paper will do.
• Pure white paper.
• A plate that will serve as the basis all the time.
• Liquid glue - PVA. Or you can make a paste yourself. He needs water and flour (starch is suitable).
• Capacity with water.
• Oil, petroleum jelly or soap. This is to prevent the paper from sticking to the plate. You can do without it. But then it will be more difficult to detach the finished craft from the form.
• Materials for decoration (paints, foil, felt-tip pens, stickers, beads, sequins, rhinestones, shells and the like)

Papier-mâché technique

Now we begin to practical development of how to make a plate of paper. Materials are ready, you need:

1. Make a paste if no PVA glue was found. Proportions for paste: 1 part flour to 8 parts water. To do this, heat the water and gradually begin to pour flour into it, stirring to get rid of lumps. You should get a batter, which must be allowed to cool before use. If made from starch, pour it into an aluminum or enamel bowl and add water. Stir until a thick mass is obtained. Add boiling water there, continuing to mix. The ratio, as with flour, is 1: 8. Later, you can add a little more boiling water to make the paste thinner. Strain.
2. Picking up small pieces of newspaper, about 2 by 5 in size, but they don't have to be the same.
3. Lubricate the mold with oil, petroleum jelly or liquid soap. Apply the first coat by dipping the pieces in water.
4. Glue subsequent layers. In total, there will be about 7. The latter is made of white paper.
5. Now the plate should dry completely.
6. Carefully disconnect it from the base with scissors or a knife.
7. Trim the edges.

On the plate, you can draw anything and add stones, beads, sequins and so on (it is better to stick with not very liquid glue so that there are no stains on the paper).

Wicker plate

How to make a plate of paper with almost no glue? Materials:

• Newspapers or paper.
• PVA glue.
• Scissors.
• Skewer or knitting needle.
• Plate shape.

What do we have to do:

1. Cut a newspaper or paper into strips 10 centimeters wide, a little less.
2. Screw the strips onto the skewer, secure the end with glue. Get the skewer and do the same with all the paper.
3. To make the tubes longer, you need to drop the glue at the end of one and insert the other.
4. You can color the blanks at this stage, or when the plate is ready.
5. Now the process of weaving itself. You need to take four tubes. Find their center and twist together, as shown in the figure.
   
6. Add two tubules on one side and three on the other.
   
7. Take the tube from the side where there are five, and start weaving, letting it pass under the rest, then above. So in a circle.
   
8. When the tube ends, use glue to extend it with the rest of the workpieces.
9. Now you need to create a form. Take the prepared plate, put a load into it and place it on the base of the basket. The diameter of the already woven structure should be half a centimeter larger.
10. Lift up the tubes, placing them along the form, and fix the position with an elastic band.
11. Continue weaving with the main tube, each row should fit snugly together.
12. Complete the weaving by bending the ends of the protruding tubes inward between the rows.
    
13. Now you can decorate the plate, if previously this was not done with the tubes.

Flying saucer

1. Cut a square out of paper.
2. Fold in half to outline the center lines.
3. Flex once.
4. Bend one side in the middle back.
5. Bend the corners down from the center. This is done on the same side as in step 4.
6. On the other side, also bend the corners down, but not from the center.
7. Turn the paper over.
8. The blank for the flying saucer is ready, now you can draw three windows, aliens and the like.
