A good hostess will not lose a single piece of fabric, not a single jar or box. Everything will go to remake. There are many options for using unnecessary things. Today we look at what can be done from old jeans. It is enough to fantasize a little and make some efforts to become the happy owner of an exclusive thing or interior item.
What can be done from old jeans for yourself and your baby
- Shorts. It is enough to cut the legs and trim the edge to get a fashionable thing. You can make both breeches and short sexy shorts this way. Your choice will depend on clothing preferences and body shape.
- New jeans. There are several options for turning the old thing into a new one. If you have torn your trousers, you can carefully sew up the hole and mask it on top with lace, applique or decorative details from any material. On denim, jewelry made of satin ribbon, pieces of fur, leather and bright lace look great. If you or the child stained the pants with paint, then it is enough to apply the picture to the thing with acrylic paints, masking the spots to get the original jeans.
- New baby clothes. If your baby is growing up, then your old jeans will be an excellent material for making beautiful and fashionable clothes for him. Collect all the unnecessary things. Carefully spread the legs and get the finished canvas, on which you will lay out the previously prepared patterns of a children's jacket, skirt or panties.
What can be done from old jeans to decorate the kitchen
- Tack From the pants leg we cut out two details of the required shape and size. Lay them like a sandwich with synthetic winterizer and sew several times, fastening to each other. Carefully cut the edges and process them with a slanting inlay, braid or overlock stitch. Sew a loop.
- Napkins. The beautiful structure and high density of the material allows you to make original napkins, on which it is so convenient to put mugs with hot tea or dinner plates. To do this, it is enough to cut flaps of jeans of a conceived shape and size from jeans. Edges can be processed in any way. We decorate each napkin with applique, embroidery or paint it with acrylic paints.
What can be made of old jeans for home decoration
- Cover. Denim clothes of various colors are perfect for making beautiful bedspreads or upholstered furniture. First, make a sketch of the model and draw a pattern. We cut out the details using undamaged parts of the trousers. We grind the finished parts with each other, collecting the conceived drawing. We apply the resulting top blank of the bedspread on the wrong side of the sheet and pin it along the edge with needles. We cut the edges of the workpiece and process it in any way.
- Cushions. We make a pattern from paper. We unzip the legs, iron and cut out of them two blanks for the pillowcase. If you want to decorate a product with embroidery or applique, then this must be done before sewing the details. We fold the blanks with their faces inward and sew them with a straight line at a distance of 1-1.5 centimeters from the cut from three sides. We turn the workpiece. In the open side we sew in a zipper. We fill the pillowcase with a synthetic winterizer or any other filler.
If you are thinking about what can be sewn from old jeans, then make organizers for the wall in a children's room or bathroom. We draw on a paper a pattern of the basis. Unzip jeans trousers and, if necessary, grind them into one large canvas, from which we cut out the base for the organizer. As compartments, you can use ready-made pockets from the back of the trousers or cut out rectangular blanks from fabric.
We lay out the base on the table. We put pockets on it in the planned order and pin with needles, and then we tune. We bend the upper and lower sections of the canvas to the wrong side and, having retreated 2.5 centimeters from the fold, lay a straight line. We insert a glazing bead into the resulting holes, the length of which is several centimeters longer than the canvas of the organizer. We fasten the cord to the upper crossbar.
