Children's science fiction has long taken its place on the shelves of world literature. And if mainly foreign works are presented in this direction, then domestic ones are put less as an example. But in vain! One of the fascinating stories was the series of novels “The Watch”. We will analyze all the books in order in our article.

Ukrainian writer Natalya Shcherba has been fascinated by writing since her school years. At the institute, which she left in her fourth year, she wrote a short story. It was followed by new work. The adventures of young Vasilisa could lie for a long time in the drawer table, but fortunately, they hit the book shelves under the name “Chasodey” changed by the author. All books in order include several independent works, each of which is a continuation of the predecessor. Their very appearance into the world is filled with magic - Natalya Shcherba unexpectedly won the “New Children's Book” competition, the main trophy of which was the publication of the 50-thousand-hour edition of Chasodeev.

Teenage fiction is the genre that the writer chose at the beginning of her creative career. 25-year-old Natalia was fond of the mystic-fantasy direction. Inspired by a number of foreign films designed for a youthful audience, she decided to come up with her own story. Moreover, in Russia the fiction genre, although it exists, is not so popular in contrast to other countries.
What is the story of “The Watchman”? Books in order introduce the reader to Vasilisa Ogneva. The girl is 12 years old, she lives with her guardian and is not familiar with the parents who left her in her childhood. Suddenly, her father comes to her and takes her with him. A wealthy man, he settles his daughter in a chic mansion, where his other children also live. Why did he need a reunion with Vasilisa, she does not understand. After all, neither he, nor her stepbrothers and sisters accept her as a new member of the family, but over time they are in every possible way frustrating. Once she notices a strange thing: her father’s guests turn the clock hands, which gives them the opportunity to go through the wall. Taking advantage of the moment, inspired by Vasilisa follows them ...
Dramaturgy, intrigue, exciting action, awaiting the reader - these are the main components that are filled with “Watchmen”. A series of books in order begins with the first part, called the “Clock Key”. In it, the main character will learn new facts about the structure of the planet: time is controlled by spirits, and the universe includes the world of watchmakers. These wizards have the power to use the probabilities and paradoxes associated with time. One of these wizards becomes Vasilisa - moreover, she is the strongest representative of the whole family, which now belongs to all the state of his father ...

The finale of the story ends with Vasilisa taking pride of place among the watchmakers-wizards, managing to do before the Watch Circle moves in time. The first part immediately gives rise to a lot of assessments and criticism. Some talk about the presence of powerful potential, others complain about the compositional and stylistic mistakes that filled the first “Watchmakers”.
All books, in order, are replenished with a sequel, called “Sentinel Heart”. It, by the way, came out in the same 2011 as its predecessor.
Vasilisa meets other members of the Watch Circle. Together they go to the summer camp, where the guys fall into timelessness - a special area in which you can find objects necessary for performing a magic ritual. With the help of the housekeepers who volunteered to help, a map was born, where the position of the Scarlet Flower will soon be indicated. Inside the team are traitors who are trying to arrive at the place first. The main character is able to get ahead of them, Vasilisa cuts a cup of flower, which, in turn, leads to an even greater brawl ...
The reviews on “Sentinel Heart” noted that Natalya Shcherba, in comparison with the first book, used new artistic techniques, thereby demonstrating her true mastery.
“Watchmen”, all books in order: what's next?
“Clock Tower” is the third part. Having successfully completed the work begun, Vasilisa enters the School of Hours, where he makes up for lost knowledge. Diana, enchanted during the previous battle, is in prison. Her salvation every time seems impossible, but Vasilisa manages to remove the spell from the fairy with the help of the Black Queen.
For a long time, the housekeepers were busy searching for the Broken Castle. His clock tower loses an arrow. Vasilisa becomes in her place to rewind time and restore the castle to its former state. Thanks to this, watchmakers begin to explore the building.

At the moment, all six parts that Natalya Shcherba talked about went on sale. To the question of whether a continuation is planned, she does not give an exact answer, since the series of books has a logical conclusion. The author is engaged in the publication of other works in the fantasy style.
