The coast guard is the only state
military unit that is designed not only to ensure the security of the territorial waters of this state, but also to assist those ships in distress. The coast guard even deals with weather forecasting on the sea open spaces of its state. This service was created gradually, mainly in areas with access to the sea.

Previously, in Soviet times, the coast guard function was to not let anyone in or out of the USSR. Now it is the protection of the interests of its power in the water border areas, as well as the provision of fishing activities within the laws of this country. The coast guard must protect the national interests of its state. It consists of patrol and guard vessels (ships and small boats), whose duties are to serve not only at sea, but also on rivers, lakes and other water bodies. Now the coast guard capabilities have been modernized, even space observations are practiced.

The coast guard of Russia was formed to ensure the security of the national interests of its country, to protect the state border. People who serve as coast guards are constantly trained, as ships are constantly being improved, and laws are changing. Employees do not have to have a military education. Here we need environmentalists, lawyers, doctors, and many other specialists who will assist in the implementation of cargo transportation and the legal movement of people across the border.
Coast Guard Marine Intelligence
Maritime reconnaissance is also of great importance in coast guard, as it is one of the most important types of combat supply of necessary information. Intelligence is needed in order to stop the illegal import of narcotic drugs and weapons into the territory of Russia, to maintain continuous control over the fishing process (the fight against poaching). In addition, employees are able for a long time to patrol the territory entrusted to them, while remaining unnoticed. The task of maritime reconnaissance is not only search and surveillance, but also an ambush and a raid. Thus, the coast guard of Russia is one of the most important military units that ensure the security of their country.
