You can wander through the streets where Sherlock Holmes himself walked and Peter Pan flew by. And going out to the Thames, you can see the Ferris wheel.
In London, as in many cities, there is such a fascinating attraction. It was designed and created by spouse-architects Julia Barfield and David Marx. The height of the wheel is 135 meters, which is equal to the height of the 45-story building. In order to establish such a whopper, the parts were rafted along the Thames and, already assembled on the water, set in a vertical position.

The Ferris wheel in London is considered the largest in the world and is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records. And since May 2000, it has been open to tourists, instantly becoming popular along with such world-famous sights of London as the Big Ben and the Tower. Eight years after the opening, the British proudly announced that 30 million people had visited the Ferris wheel during this time.
On the wheel are 32 closed, transparent egg-shaped cabins. They are designed so that the view is 360 degrees. For the convenience of visitors, the cabins are air-conditioned. Of course, there are seats in the cabin, but most tourists prefer to stand to see as much as possible. The cabin capacity is designed for 25 people, but as practice shows, usually there are no more than 10-12 people in it. The cabin makes a full revolution in about half an hour, thus allowing to see the city for 40 km in all directions. Since the attraction is popular, then its prices are quite high (about 20 pounds for an adult and 15 for a child over 5 years old). True, there is a so-called family ticket for 4 people and its cost will be about 50 pounds. You can also take a whole booth and ride on it together.
In order to visit the Ferris wheel in London, you need to take the subway to Waterloo station and from there already walk. But then, going upstairs, you can see the metro station from which you left and see where you will go when you go down to the ground. Because then, while walking, you will remember how you observed all this from above, and try to compare what you saw.
