The archer's life is hard and bustling, and it's not about those who go to the shooting range for an hour and stick a couple of dozen aluminum rods from a modern block bow or made according to the traditions of the longbow of the times of Robin Hood. It will be about those whose virtual life directly depends on the time the bow was used for the case, namely, well-aimed characters (or imagining themselves as such) in the role-playing game The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

What can Skyrim offer us simple mortal ranged amateurs? Daedric bow, the dream of every archer since the days of Morrowind, getting in the game will not be easy, but first a bit of game mechanics. So, for the fifth version of Elder Scrolls, the developers, for simplicity, trained everyone in archery. No kidding, even a shaky Breton, even absorbing the basics of owning a weapon with Bosmer’s mother’s milk, any character in the game can pace with his tight bowstring as much as he wants without loss of stamina. Why strain again? Each shot is fired with fresh forces, and everything would be fine if it weren't for blocking. Here igrodely provided a unique feint for this class of weapon: when you press the block key, the character does not stand in the defense rack, but clicks the hilt in close combat to stun the enemy for a second or two. A convenient opportunity to avoid an increased blow from some excessively efficient orc with a huge ax. Often such a feint will not work, of course, because it eats away 60 endurance from the hundreds that are given at the beginning, and how much the player deigns to add during the course of level-ups. Running with a bowstring at the ready also will not work out so easily, only at the 60th level of the shooting skill will you be able to take this opportunity if you have enough points, and until that time - in small steps.

We figured out the mechanics, it’s worth considering that the enemies do not reach us. Or they were getting pretty beaten. A serious argument is required in the fight against a hostile world, and one of the best in the game is the Daedric bow. Skyrim is not too generous with such gifts as an ordinary drop or treasure in the dungeons, only starting from level 46 can a player get this weapon, and the chance of gaining an enchanted variety is even less. If you are used to hunting dragons, you are more likely to pick up the artifact you are looking for from the remains of a legendary or noble specimen from the Guardians of the Dawn expansion. Unfortunately, such dragons appear much later, from the 78th and 59th level, but it is possible to find them earlier in the addon quest line. Another way to get a powerful bow is through the secret guild of thieves, reaching certain heights in which and at level 47, you can accidentally find daedra bows from stolen buyers, including those enchanted. One copy can be "borrowed" on the counter in the "Wild Flask" near the city of Riften also after level 47.

Blacksmiths with a skill of 90 or higher can produce Daedra weapons, gaining the corresponding ability for points after increasing the level. Resources can be found at ordinary merchants: 3 ebony ingot from blacksmiths and money lenders, and the heart of the daedra from alchemists. Sophisticated summoners can use the Atronach Forge after completing a ritual quest for a sigil stone and convert the ebonite analogue to a daedric bow. In addition to ebonite weapons, it will require the heart of a daedron and the core of a generator, knocked out from the centurions in the Dwemer ruins.

What to do before reaching the level of character or skill? True, do not despair. From the 50th level of witchcraft, the “Summon Bow” spell is available, putting a ghostly daedric bow and a hundred of the same arrows into the caster's hands. In addition, in the branch of stealth development from the 40th skill level, an ability is available that significantly increases distance damage in invisible mode. Together with alchemical poisons, such an enhancement will allow you to solve many problems even before they arise.

Well, how without it? The appearance of dragons in the game affected not only the gameplay, but also the equipment. Successful dragon hunters, being masters of the hammer and the anvil, can make not only the best bow in Skyrim, but also other weapons and armor of the desired type. By the way, the dragon bow not only deals 5% more damage than the daedric one, but also stretches faster, and the surrounding city guards openly envy the armor of the bones and dragon scales.
