Fantastic Four is one of the most popular comics created in the second half of the last century. It was created by screenwriter Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, who worked at Marvel Comics Publishing House.
The stories invented by Stan and Jack were completely new and not like the others, which provided them with such a stunning success. Their superheroes did not hide from readers either their strength or the dark sides. Their adventures were one unusual than the other - they constantly saved our world, to which someone constantly claimed their rights.
Franklin Richards, son of Susan Storm and Reed Richards
Susan and Reed are members of the same team of superheroes, which was called the Fantastic Four. Having decided that their child should become a superhero of a new generation - Franklin Richards, Marvel Comics organized the wedding of this couple, which allowed readers to capture the attention of dramatic details of their family life in the next episodes of stories.
Sue and Reed gained their unusual abilities during a forced flight into space, falling under the influence of cosmic radiation.
When Sue was expecting a baby, her body began to produce poison, and in order to save his wife with her future son, Reed and two friends went to the Negative Zone. There they seized the Battery of Negative Energy and cured Susan with it.
The child survived, and he was given a double name: Franklin Benjamin - in honor of his grandfather and family friend.
Nicknamed Psi Lord ...
Franklin at different periods of his life had special nicknames: Avatar, Storyteller, Psi-Lord, Ego-Spawn, Richard Franklin (Richard Franklin). For example, as Franklin was known at the age of 14, he was Psi-Lord from 24 to 26, and after 35 became an Avatar. At the same time, in his mature years, he became the owner of an appearance like Brad Peet.
In his teens, Franklin Richards was the most ordinary-looking boy, blue-eyed and mischievous. But awareness of the unusual fate of parents - the saviors of mankind, shaped his character, forcing him to grow up much earlier than his peers.
Franklin's superpowers
Franklin Richards, strictly speaking, is not a man - he is a mutant (Psionic), possessing absolutely fantastic abilities. He blocked some of them so as not to harm his loved ones and the environment. But from time to time uses them when other means are exhausted for the fight against space monsters.
He can endlessly manipulate reality, deforming the visible universe and creating new (pocket) universes, transferring people into them.
It can change the molecular structure of matter, turning matter into energy, and vice versa.
It has telepathic abilities: it reads thoughts at any distance, creates illusions in the minds of others and manipulates people's behavior.
Able to create astral doubles, which have all its qualities; make powerful bio-explosions; move any objects by the power of thought; see prophetic dreams and much more.
History of Galactus
The main test of the Fantastic Four's strength was the appearance on Earth of a cosmic entity named Galactus.
Galactus was once the humanoid Galan and lived on a planet with a highly developed civilization. At that time, the Universe was just undergoing a period of contraction, and there were no more living planets. Going on a research expedition, he wanted to find a way to save his native planet, but in vain.
He had several other friends with him, and he suggested that they fly through the center of a shrinking Universe in order to accept a “beautiful death”.
At the time of the transition, the Consciousness of the Universe came into contact with him, warning that after the "Big Bang" he would be reborn as Galactus - the devourer of worlds.
Reed Richards vs. Galactus
Starting with planets devoid of intelligent life, Galactus gradually became indiscriminate in food, drowning out remorse with the idea of his messianism.
This interplanetary wanderer was designed in such a way that to ensure his existence he needed to eat the energy of the planets. After his visit, the life of the planet dried up and was no longer restored, and Galactus continued his journey through the universe.
The Silver Surfer served as his gunner, with the help of which the Four managed to persuade Galactus not to touch the Earth. He even promised to leave her surroundings forever, but hunger has repeatedly forced him to return.
The death and rebirth of Galactus
Galactus' appetite was growing, and since he could satisfy him with an exceptionally intelligent life, he was always drawn to Earth. And again, the superheroes had to stop him, resorting to the services of the same Surfer, who lured Galactus into a trap. Together with the Shi'Ar race, the combined superhero group was able to destroy the great devourer.
But it was only a respite before the next battle with the powerful Abracas - a hunter of the Galactus. At first, he invited the Four to unite in search of a superweapon - the Absolute nullifier. And when he was found, took possession of him and began to threaten to destroy the universe.
And then Franklin Richards entered the game, who, using his ability to change reality, brought Galactus back to life, since only he could take away the Nulifier from Abracas. Everything went as if by notes, and the super-weapon returned to Reed Richards, and Abracas was killed.
The story ended with the fact that in the new reality, after using the Nullifier, all the worlds and the creatures that inhabited them, which were destroyed by Abracas, returned to life, as if Abracas never existed. In addition, the mission of Galactus to contain the destructive activities of Abracas became clear.
Forced to be the destroyer of intelligent worlds, Galactus, as the oldest creature in the universe, feels its connection with its nature. By and large, he carries out a certain connection of times in it, trying to more deeply realize his mission. Strange as it may seem, Franklin Richards helps him in this. Against Galactus, he can expose his unlimited possibilities - either reviving him, then annihilating, arbitrarily changing reality.
Thanks to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby , another superhero Franklin Richards was born. Comics with his participation survived a wave of popularity and again rolled into the shadows. Perhaps now the scriptwriters of Hollywood movie studios will try to revive him. Wait and see!
