Pass the tool through five to six cells, then wind several turns of patchwork tape on it. Gently pull the hook, and an arc of spirals forms on the working thread. Try to tightly fasten the spiral segments formed on the base, moving along the perimeter (from the edges to the center) or parallel to one of the sides of the workpiece.
