Sometimes, to study the history of any nation, it is not enough just to read books from the library and repeatedly review museum exhibits and relics. It is worth visiting one of the local necropolises to get a general idea of an entire era. This is the place where the centuries-old history of the cultural heritage of mankind is collected, is the Troekurovsky cemetery. The graves of celebrities, a list of prominent scientists, historians, inventors, film figures and other creative personalities can be found here. Let's take a look here right now.
Brief background and location of the necropolis
Troekurovsky cemetery is a huge necropolis, founded in 1962 and located in the capital of Russia. It is located on the street. Ryabinovoy, d. 24, in the Western administrative district of Moscow. Its total area is 20.82 ha. This beautiful and at the same time sad place got its name in the late XVII - early XVIII centuries. During this period, a small village called Troekurovo stood at the site of the cemetery.
How did the cemetery change?
According to local authorities, initially about 34 hectares of land were allocated under the cemetery. At the same time, the old park zone also entered here . However, by the beginning of 1966, members of a committee of the Moscow City Council decided to drastically reduce the total area of the necropolis to 14 hectares.
At this time, the graves in the Troekurovsky cemetery remained on one side, and part of the green spaces and the alley bordering the territory of the MKAD on the other. The adjacent old park, with a total area of approximately 12 hectares, remained on the same side. Since that time, land free from burial has become a recreation area. Here appeared benches and colorful flower beds. And a few years later, the area of the necropolis increased again. Due to the two territories attached to it (Rublevsky cemetery and Kuntsevsky), the total area of the cemetery amounted to 40.82 hectares.

Since 1975, famous people began to be buried in a fenced non-residential zone. So the first celebrities appeared at the Troekurovsky cemetery (more precisely, their graves). At first, these were people marked with honorary awards and medals for special merits to the Fatherland, as well as officials and influential personalities. Later, they were "joined" by scientists, actors, artists, politicians, architects, aviators, cameramen, mathematicians, physicists, artists, sculptors and other outstanding personalities.
A year later, it was decided to perpetuate the memory of workers of the Central Committee of the Party who have special merits. From this moment, the question “On the construction of the starting minimum of the memorial Troekurovsky cemetery” is being resolved.
The emergence of new buildings and structures in the necropolis
Very soon, the Troekurovsky cemetery (graves of celebrities, a list of famous stars buried here can be seen in the photo) was supplemented by a spectacular structure - the Troyekurovo Funeral House-Necropolis. According to preliminary data, specialists from the Moscow Architecture Committee were involved in the construction, architectural design and reconstruction of this and other buildings. At that time, the Department of Consumer Market and Services acted as a sponsor with the permission of the city authorities.
Interestingly, at that time it was one of the first commercial projects, since the services of the Funeral Home were paid. And their list and price list could be found on the spot. About who is buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery, we will tell a little later.
At the beginning of 2002, the Funeral Home was newly reconstructed and completed. The house for mourning ceremonies was updated, a small ritual hall was completed. In addition, the “Mourning complex” was complemented by a spectacular administrative building, boiler room and dining room. Separately, a modern parking for vehicles was built, designed for 250 cars. Also, two checkpoints were organized at once, which was very convenient for people who came to see the tombstones of celebrities, photograph graves at the Troekurovsky cemetery and appreciate the beauty of the local color.
Not far from the cemetery is another Moscow attraction - the temple of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. This building was erected about 300 years ago.
Modern "Troekurovsky cemetery"
Today the Troekurovsky cemetery is by no means abandoned. It continues to fulfill its important mission to bury and perpetuate famous people. There are legends about those who are buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery. During their lifetime they were shot in films, articles about them were published in newspapers and magazines, they signed autographs and lived for their pleasure. At the moment, the necropolis belongs to the state. This is a unitary enterprise called "Ritual", which provides services for family and individual burials.
One of the famous people buried here was actor Vladislav Galkin, who suddenly died of acute heart failure at the end of February 2010. This 38-year-old cultural figure played a major role in such films as Special Forces, Saboteur, Kotovsky, and Truckers.
And on March 12, 2013, the funeral of the honored artist of the Russian Federation Andrei Panin, who previously starred in the films “The Brigade”, “Birthday of Bourgeois 2”, “Family Secrets”, “The Horseman named Death”, “Sea Devil” and others, took place here.
Troekurovsky cemetery: “Avenue of actors”, photo
At the same time, a sad and beautiful place on the territory of the necropolis is the "Walk of Fame", "Avenue of Actors", or "Actor's Alley". It was here that not just artists with a capital letter found peace, but entire acting dynasties. So, for example, it was here that Alexander and Svetlana Dedyushko, as well as their eight-year-old son Dima, rested in peace.
In addition to them, the Troekurovsky cemetery - “Avenue of Actors” (see photo below) - became the last home for People's Artist Yevgeny Zharikov, theater and film actor Semyon Farada, Marina Golub, Nikolai Kara, Nina Vasilyeva (English teacher and early-living wife Leonid Kuravlev ), Lyubov Polishchuk and others.

Fans and flowers: how did all this change after the death of celebrities?
Despite its former popularity, many directors, artists and actors in the Troekurovsky cemetery were not buried with the traditional Moscow elite pomp. On the contrary, on the graves of some of them there are no tombstones. For example, such a burial place is the grave of Evgeny Zharikov.
Some of the monuments at the Troekurovsky cemetery were made to order. Many of them have art paintings and beautiful decorative elements, and the surrounding areas amaze their imagination with their "hedges" and other details of landscape design. Of course, those graves, which are often visited by close relatives and fans of a popular personality, are immediately visible. They are literally buried in flowers. In addition to flowers, other graves are brought with soft toys (especially children's tombstones), cigars, sweets and other things that the deceased liked during his life.
How to find the graves of celebrities at the Troekurovsky cemetery?
Arriving at this huge cemetery center, surrounded by majestic pyramidal trees, flowers and other greenery, many tourists and local residents look for monuments to the Troekurovsky cemetery belonging to specific individuals.

For example, if you enter the Troekurovsky cemetery (a map will help you quickly find the cemetery of a celebrity you are interested in) in the first section, you can find the tombstones of the famous film director Elem Germanovich Klimov. S. is present, based on the works of which the film "The Adventures of Electronics" was shot. Here N.N. Rybnikov rested in peace with his wife A.A. Larionova, V. B. Nosik and R. S. Phillipov. In the third section, the outstanding film and theater actress E.V. Mayorova and her husband Sergey Sherstyuk are buried .
In total, the Troekurovsky cemetery (graves of celebrities, a list of some can be seen in our article) contains 13 sites. All of them are divided by sectors. For convenience, there is a map, signs and identification plates.
What information is on the plan?
In addition to the lists, the necropolis also has a plan diagram or, as mentioned above, a map. It depicts the entire Troyekurovo funeral complex with color markings and accessible designations. For example, the ritual hall is marked in gray, burial sites are marked in green, the road is marked in black, cleaning equipment rental points are yellow, and the columbar wall is black and red, etc.
How to get to the funeral complex?
