High Khrotgar - a fortress that you will fall into during the storyline of the Skyrim game. The mission “The Way of the Voice” will lead you to this location. How to perform it is described in this small guide.
Adventure Start
The quest "Way of the Voice" is activated as soon as you kill the dragon near the northern tower of Whiterun and capture his soul. After that, the call of the Greybeards will be heard, who will call Dovakin to his fortress - High Khrotgar. It is located on the highest mountain of Tamriel - the Throat of the World. And to get to it, you have to go through 7 thousand steps along the Way of the pilgrims.
Way to the Graybeards
You will find the beginning of the stairs in the village of Ayvarsted, located east of Whiterun. Do not rush to immediately go to the mountain, but talk with Klimek. This character stands on the bridge, near the start of the Way of the Pilgrims. You will take an additional quest from him to deliver supplies to the fortress.
Climbing stairs, do not relax. Rather dangerous creatures live here - bears, trolls and ice ghosts. You will not find treasure chests on the way, but if you activate and read all 10 tablets on the stones hidden along the road, you will receive the blessing “Voice of Heaven”. When activated, wildlife representatives do not run away and do not attack for 24 game hours. Read the labels in any order, most importantly, activate them all.
Completion of the quest "The Way of the Voice"
When you reach High Hrothgar in Skyrim, go inside the fortress. Here you will meet Gray-Bearded - the sages who will teach you Dragon Cries. Only Arngeyr will talk with Dovakin. He will ask the protagonist to demonstrate any tu'um to prove that he is truly Dragonborn. Therefore, choose the cry of "Juggernaut" and apply it to the old man.
When the Graybeard's doubts about your skills disappear, the sages will teach you a new tu'um. To begin with, you will learn the second Word of the Scream, “Merciless Power,” called “Ro”. For the next lesson, follow the elders into the courtyard of the fortress. Here you’ll be taught the Tu'um "Swift Jerk."
After learning, demonstrate the learned Scream. To do this, jump through it through the rapidly closing gate. As soon as you pass this exam, the quest "The Way of the Voice" will be completed, but the Graybeards will give you a new task, "The Horn of Jurgen." Therefore, you will have to return to High Khrothgar more than once. Fortunately, now you can use the "Quick Move", and will not each time climb the Path of the pilgrims.
