“Prazicide Suspension Sweet” is a modern antiparasitic drug intended for the treatment of invasions caused by round and ribbon helminths. Pyrantel pamoate and Praziquantel, which are the active components of the drug, effectively complement and mutually reinforce each other. The mechanism of their effect on helminths is based on blocking neuromuscular transmission, violating the integrity of cell membranes and protective tissues of the membrane, which leads to immobilization and subsequent death of parasites.
"Prazicide suspension" is prescribed for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes against diseases caused by tape parasites - cestodoses (diphyllobothriasis, echinococcosis, dipylidiosis, teniidosis of mesocestoidosis), round parasites - nematodoses (ankylostomiasis, toxacarzacarosis, tacsocarcinosis) mixed type.
"Prazicide suspension" refers to the class of low-toxic drugs, in doses recommended by the manufacturer, it does not have a cumulative, locally irritating, teratogenic and embryotoxic effects.
Contraindications for use are the first trimester of pregnancy, the period of the disease and subsequent rehabilitation, as well as the age of less than 21 days. With caution, the drug is prescribed to animals with a lack of weight, as well as in the last trimester of pregnancy. Puppies and kittens are first dewormed at the age of three weeks, simultaneously with a nursing female.
Thanks to a convenient liquid form and a syringe dispenser, the drug is easy to calculate and set the required individual dose, and most animals like the sweet taste, so they eagerly eat it. The drug can be set by mixing with a small portion of the feed.

Adult dogs are given an individual dose based on the calculation of 1 ml × 3 kg of weight. For example, if a dog weighs 18 kg, then a single dose of the drug will be 6 ml. One bottle of the drug (10 ml) is designed for 30 kg of animal weight.
For puppies, as well as adult dogs of ornamental breeds, weighing up to 5 kg, the individual dose is calculated according to the formula 1 ml × 1 kg of weight. For example, if a small puppy weighs 1 kg 600 grams, then its individual dose will be only 1.6 ml of suspension. One bottle of the drug (5 ml) is designed for 5 kg of weight.
For large breed puppies, the individual dose is calculated according to the formula 1 ml for every 2 kg of weight. For example, a puppy weighs 5 kg, which means that his individual single dose of the drug will be equal to 2.5 ml. One bottle of suspension (10 ml) is designed for 20 kg of weight.
For adult cats and kittens over 21 days of age, the individual dose of the drug is set based on the calculation of 1 ml × 1 kg of weight. For example, if a kitten weighs 400 g, then a single dose of the drug for him will be 0.4 ml, and for an adult cat weighing 3 kg, respectively - 3 ml. "Prazicide suspension" for kittens is available in bottles of 5 ml, for adult cats - 7 ml.
Immediately before giving the drug, the bottle must be shaken thoroughly until a completely homogeneous suspension is obtained. "Prazicide suspension" is given to each animal individually, in a full dose, once, preferably in the first morning feed. The drug is given either by force, using the syringe dispenser enclosed in the package, or by mixing it with a small amount of goodies.
