Living conditions today contribute to the fact that most parents have to spend a significant part of their time at work. As a result, the moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren in the family fades into the background. It is unfortunate that little attention was paid to him in schools.
Teachers and parents should strive not only to give children theoretical knowledge, but also to develop in them kindness, humanity, love for nature and respect for others. The moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren should come first. But more and more videos are surfacing online, the main characters of which are children and their cruel treatment of peers or animals. It is hard to believe that they are born like that. Children become brutal later, and all responsibility for moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren should rest on the shoulders of adults, many of whom are currently neglecting their duty.
It is worth noting that many schools use a program specially developed at these institutions for spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren. But, unfortunately, in most cases these are only large lyceums and educational institutions for wealthy families. In such cases, parents shift their responsibilities to teachers, forgetting that they should also contribute to this process.
The implementation of such programs within the walls of ordinary schools incurs additional costs: the allocation of school hours, teacher fees, etc. This is not always possible, for example, in rural schools, whose budgets are very limited.
The moral and spiritual development of students sets the following goals and objectives:
- the formation in the child of the ability and need for moral development;
- Strengthening morality ;
- patriotic education (primary school students and high school students);
- education of tolerance and respect for neighbors.
In the conditions of constant development of the country's economy, the education of patriotism and pride in the Fatherland plays an important role. Against this background, the moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren often recedes into the background. This situation arose as a result of the fact that the state is primarily interested in the education of a generation knowledgeable in the political life of the country.
Much attention is paid to the education of a citizen who loves his country and is a patriot. Therefore, the program of patriotic education pursues the goal of developing citizenship among young people as the most important spiritual and moral value.
Moral and patriotic development should come first in the education of the student. This is due to the fact that society needs a new type of personality, which inextricably connects its fate with the future of the Fatherland. This is the goal of teachers and parents: to absorb patriotism and citizenship in the child. Do not forget that children are our future.
