The main stages of the journey
Creating a family is a serious step in the life of any person. Such a question cannot be solved in a hurry. It is necessary to think seriously and make the only right decision. Perhaps that is why the state always gives the newlyweds a special time for reflection before recognizing them as their family. In our country, relations between a woman and a man are legal only if they are registered.
Among the first decrees issued by the government after the Great October Revolution was the Law on Civil Marriage. It was he who formed the basis of the modern registration procedure. It consists of several stages:
- Citizens who wish to legalize their relationship must make a marriage declaration with their own hands.
- Based on this document, which is signed by both parties, the authorized person makes official registration and makes an entry in the civil status act. It is preliminary necessary to pay the state fee in the amount of two hundred rubles according to the receipt issued by the registry office.
Everything seems to be simple. But it seems only at first glance. Each stage has its own characteristics. Take, for example, a marriage application. In order to compile it, young people should have the following documents in their hands:
- passport or other identity document;
- if one of the citizens was previously married, then he must have on hand a confirmation of the fact of dissolution of the previous โunionโ;
- if a person under the age of 18 is going to marry, then he must have in his hands the permission (consent) of the parents or guardians;
- state duty payment receipt .
A marriage application must be signed by both parties. However, there are times when one of them does not have the opportunity to personally appear in the registry office. In this case, applications can be executed separately, and the signature of the absent person must be certified by a notary. Filing an application in our country usually involves queues. Therefore, some offices of the registry office provide a service with which citizens can fill out an application in electronic form and pre-reserve a convenient time for visiting. After that, they will need to arrive at the appointed time with the necessary documents, present a printed "Notification" of the appointed date and draw up a marriage application without waiting in line.

A statement is an official document. Its form No. 7 was approved by a special decree of the Government of Russia.
A sample application for marriage can be obtained from a specialist during the registration process. In the process of filling in, citizens must indicate their full personal data and details, as well as confirm the voluntary and mutual desire to enter into a legal marriage.
Here, both future spouses are obliged to determine in advance which surname each of them will later bear in marriage. Here everyone has every right to choose. The husband can go to the name of his wife or vice versa. Alternatively, spouses can keep their premarital names. The law does not prohibit this. The upper "heading" on the acceptance of the application and the date of registration will be filled in by the registry office employee. Special cases and unusual situations
Filling out the application for marriage should be done by hand. This is a prerequisite. On the stands in the corridors, as a rule, there are examples of the design of forms. In an extreme case, people in line will always tell you the right option. The procedure will take very little time if you have all the necessary papers.
But there are situations when one passport and receipt are not enough. If the future husband is a citizen of another country, then the list of documents will be completely different. A complete list can be obtained from the registrar. It will not be amiss to recall that all supporting documents must meet the necessary requirements. For example, the application will not be accepted if the passport of at least one of the future spouses is expired. It happens that a specialist will not pay attention to this. But subsequently such a marriage may well be recognized as invalid. But if the applicants did everything right, then after 1 month they can safely invite guests to a pre-planned celebration.
