The contradiction between the need to live long and unwillingness to deny yourself dubious pleasures can be considered one of the most important problems in preserving and strengthening the health of citizens.

The foundations of the worldview of any person are laid in the family, habits are organized there. No wonder it is said that habit is a second nature. Changing rooted stereotypes is a difficult and sometimes painful process that requires significant volitional effort. In a healthy family, where physical development and sport are natural , an alternative to addiction is automatically created. A child from such an environment grows up in an atmosphere of active development; he does not have to choose now or when he is growing up. For him, physical culture is an integral part of existence. Someone was unlucky, and perhaps bad habits were cultivated by the environment throughout his childhood.

The need to change something, as a rule, is caused by health problems that are inevitable with this lifestyle, especially with age. This is not the first year that the All-Russian action "Sport - an alternative to addictions" has been successfully held in the country. The goal of the program is to prevent the risk of a deterioration in the health of the nation by introducing youth, adolescents and children of all ages to a sporting and healthy lifestyle. In kindergartens, schools, and other educational organizations, targeted events are held as part of this action:

- contests and quizzes;

- sports (relay races, competitions);

- thematic creative works (crafts for kids, essays for schoolchildren);

- Organization of volunteer clubs for schoolchildren and youth.
