New Year's party in the garden should be organized taking into account the age characteristics of children. For example, in younger groups, children not only cannot participate in the celebration for a long time, but they are also overexcited and stop hearing the teacher. It’s just that the nervous system of the kids is not ready for an emotionally intense program, like older preschoolers, who can longer participate in the center of fabulous events.
In this connection, the New Year holiday takes from twenty minutes to an hour. In younger groups, children learn a small dance song with elements of dance. If there are kids who speak clearly and expressively, they are given small roles. Most often, in the age group, New Year's parties in kindergarten are held without the participation of parents. Children get acquainted with Santa Claus, sing songs to him, dance, dance, play snowballs with him, receive gifts.

Previously, they prepared for the holiday in two months: educators made scripts for children's New Year's parties, parents sewed costumes and learned roles with children. And together they made toys, snowflakes, lanterns, garlands and decorated the group with them.
Now, in many preschool institutions, educators act as presenters, and special artists play fairy-tale characters. Holiday scenarios are not invented, and adjustments are made to ready-made templates for a specific group. Costumes and jewelry are also bought or given out available at the kindergarten.
