To date, already released a huge number of role-playing computer games, they have a wide variety of subgenres and directions, combat systems and options for pumping characters. But always one of the main criteria of any role-playing game was a well-developed world and lively characters. However, not all projects supported such a high bar - some could not create a full-fledged world in which each hero, even a minor one, would have his own place, his own charisma, his own character. But the Elder Scrolls series was especially successful in this, in particular, the world turned out to be wonderful in the last part of Skyrim. Moreover, here you will meet a huge number of non-player characters, but none of them will be like anyone else, and this is a real achievement. However, now we are not talking about the diversity of non-game heroes, but about a specific character - Cicero. This is one of the most memorable personalities in the game, although it does not play a particularly important role for Cicero. Skyrim, however, manages to make any character memorable.
Who is Cicero?
There are a lot of different characters in the game “Skyrim” - some of them are found in the main character during his travels, others give him tasks to complete, and others are part of this task. All of them have their own character, they are harmoniously entered into the game, connected with other characters, and most importantly - with the hero himself. Cicero is one of the characters whose fate will be in your hands more than once. He is a former murderer who served the Dark Brotherhood, but eventually withdrew from field work, this is what Cicero is characterized by. “Skyrim” at the same time presents you with a surprise - it does not go aside at all, but is very worried about the fate of the Brotherhood, dissatisfied with what is happening in it. Cicero stands for traditionalism and ancient customs, which for many centuries have been a hallmark of the Brotherhood, but other characters want to modernize it, make it more effective and modern. You will have to meet this character more than once, and you can confidently say that you will remember it, since it is difficult to come up with someone brighter than Cicero. Skyrim, of course, is rich in impressive heroes, but the jester among them stands out especially.
Assassin or buffoon?
When you meet Cicero, you are unlikely to think that this is a once formidable killer and servant of the Dark Brotherhood. This character is dressed in a jester costume and periodically says strange things in a very squeaky voice, which is not very characteristic of the name Cicero. Skyrim, however, gives you its explanation, for which it is also worth praising the developers of the game. The last contract in the role of an assassin for Cicero was the murder of a jester - and he successfully coped with this task. But in the end, something incredible happened, and Cicero began to go crazy. He began to wear a jester costume, talk like a jester, that is, the personality of his last victim partially merged with his real identity, giving birth to one of the most colorful characters in the game "Skyrim". Cicero - to kill or not? This question will torment you for a long time, but it is better to talk about everything in order.
Meeting with Cicero
In total, the game has three quests related to Cicero. Of course, you can add the Skyrim mod to your version of the game - Cicero will then appear much more often. But now we will talk about canonical cases. The first is "Belated Funeral", this quest is not the main one, so you can skip it. But if you still decided to get down to business, then you will definitely meet Cicero. Here you have to deal with the farmer Lorey, and during this Cicero will give you an assignment. The result of this quest can be two outcomes - in the first case, Lorey is repairing the cartwheel, and you fulfill the order of the jester, and in the second you hand it over to the guard. This, of course, will not affect the development of the storyline, but then Cicero will meet you much more coldly when you complete the main quest with his participation.
But before that there will be another - "Whispers in the Dark." Here you will become one of the most important members of the Dark Brotherhood. This role was previously held by Cicero, so you will need to tell him this news. He will not like it, but he will not interfere with you, since you have chosen you in accordance with ancient traditions, which Cicero sacredly reveres.
But the most important quest with his participation is the “Cure for Madness”, in which you have to make a serious decision. The brotherhood, under the new leadership aimed at modernization, will turn against Cicero, they will injure him, but he will hide in a shelter. You will need to go there and kill him, but you do not have to. You can either kill him by taking the side of the reformers, or save his life, which is much more interesting, since then you can use him as a partner - Cicero is very good in this capacity. "Skyrim" (Cicero's quotes are already known to everyone) is famous for the sharpness of the language of some characters, and the clown is the key among them.
Cicero as a partner
If you save Cicero’s life, he will be available to you as a Skyrim companion. Phrases (Cicero will use them very actively) - this is his main advantage over others. Your cooperation will begin quite cheerfully - at the exit from the shelter he will meet you and say that he is going to kill, after which he will burst out laughing and explain that he was joking. “Best Friends Forever” - this is one of the first quotes that are known to all Skyrim players, it is with her that your cooperation begins. But then everything will be more fun - Cicero constantly releases amazing remarks that will make you at least smile, and some of them will make you laugh. He can give out the pearl “I love little kittens, I feed them with rat poison, ” or he can think thoughtfully about where he goes with you and whether he should “Dance in front of his comrades-in-arms,” but then decides: “No, it’s better not to ... “By the way, the color of this hero is added not only by his wonderful phrases, but also by very unusual behavior. He can dance at any moment, without thinking that at this moment you can try to sneak past a dangerous enemy. All this forces gamers to choose Cicero as a companion more often than other characters. Cicero Clothing
Another distinguishing feature of this character is his appearance and the armor of Cicero. Skyrim most often gives non-player characters protective clothing, but it is worth noting that his clownish suit does not have protective characteristics, so you can give him any armor if you chose him as a companion. But many players want to get this suit for use, and this can be done only if you kill the jester during the quest. However, there is another workaround that will allow you to achieve your goal. You need to take Cicero with you as a companion, and then steal his clothes, replacing them with any other set - for this, of course, you will need a high level of pickpocketing. If you don’t have an additional set of clothes, then your operation in Skyrim will fail. Cicero (a quest for it is available to each player) is a character who deserves special attention and special respect.
Interesting Facts
Naturally, there were some interesting and funny moments that relate specifically to Cicero. In addition to his famous quotes, it is worth paying attention to some other situations. For example, you may be wondering that every time you meet this character (during three different quests), you meet different versions of the hero. Each situation has its own model of Cicero, which has a different level, but the same texture. You should also pay attention to how Cicero reacts to your report to the guard - he promises to get even for this. And from the stories of the guards, you can find out that he then brought his threat to life.
Bugs with Cicero
Present in "Skyrim" and bugs associated with Cicero. The most interesting is his relationship with werewolves. If you encounter a joker in the form of a werewolf, then for some unknown reason he will begin to attack you. You can get rid of this only by returning to the human form, after which Cicero will again behave as if nothing had happened. But the bug is much more famous, because of which Cicero’s corpse remains to remain in the shelter forever - unlike the bodies of any other monsters and characters that disappear some time after death.
