The problems of tolerance, respect for the views of others, acceptance of the interests of another person can undoubtedly be called eternal. For many years now, various events have been held all over the Earth from time to time, the main purpose of which is to prove that all people are equal, that one cannot say that one nation is better than another, and one religion is more correct than another, that one cannot condemn anyone then the views, even if they do not coincide with yours. International Day of Tolerance is a holiday of all those who are not indifferent to the problem of discrimination and do their best to prove: everyone has the right to happiness, regardless of skin color, religion, sexual orientation and other aspects.
History
The UN and UNESCO are some of the world's most famous organizations that advocate for the promotion of equality of people. It was on the initiative of UNESCO that the Declaration of Principles of Tolerance was adopted in 1995, and a year after this momentous event, a holiday was established - International Day of Tolerance.
UN representatives have repeatedly noted that in no case can illegal actions against various ethnic or social groups be justified by tolerance: racism cannot be allowed to develop, restrictions on the rights and freedoms of other people cannot be allowed, saying that negativity also has a right to exist. Tolerance should be inculcated from childhood, as the ability to walk, speak, read, but at the same time, a person cannot remain indifferent to other people's problems.
International Day of Tolerance is celebrated on November 16 - the day of the adoption of the Declaration of Principles of Tolerance, which has become the legislative basis for the equality of all inhabitants of the Earth.

It should be noted that many public organizations both in Russia and abroad celebrate the international day of tolerance. Usually on this holiday a variety of events are organized to help rally people of different nationalities and religions, showing examples of the friendship of peoples and telling about the consequences of hostility between ethnic groups. The basic principles of tolerance should become postulates in the education of children, but for some reason usually people come to an understanding of equality at a more mature age or do not come at all.
