The -505 device was designed as an electromechanical induction-type single-phase apparatus for measuring incoming electricity. It is used in single-phase alternating current circuits with a rated frequency of 50 Hz and a standard network voltage of 220 V. The CO-505 device is one of the few induction electric meters that, thanks to the telemetry attachment, allow operation in automated systems. The connection of a single-phase meter should be carried out by specialists with a permit and experience in this field. This meter has the ability to cope with more complex tasks that previously only electronic devices performed - remote data collection and multi-rate accounting.

Active energy meter should be used indoors. The ambient operating temperature should be from -20 ℃ to +60 ℃. Relative humidity is determined no more than 90% at a design temperature of 30 ℃. Recommended pressure should be between 70 and 106.7 kPa. Counters are manufactured and manufactured in compliance with all Gosstandart standards and technical specifications.

This active electricity meter uses an induction method of operation. It consists in the fact that the coils of voltage and current installed in the counter form magnetic fluxes. Streams intersect with the movable disk, creating transforming currents in it. The consequence of such actions is the activation of the disk, which begins rotational movements corresponding to the power consumed by the load. A spinning disk activates the drive gears, which, in turn, cause the counting mechanism to rotate. On the scale of the latter, the consumed electrical energy is visually observed.

The power current coil is made of copper wire, which is designed to withstand the high operating current of the electric meter. The voltage coil is mounted in parallel in the circuit and has a conductor of small cross section. All this device of the CO-505 electric meter is assembled and packed in a transparent plastic case, which is made of shockproof and fireproof.

The device corresponds to the second class of accuracy. To prevent the possibility of theft of electrical energy , a stop mechanism is equipped in the meter. This device does not allow the disk to rotate in the reverse direction. Also, the illegal use of the internal device of the counter is opposed by a transparent shell through which it is possible to visually observe violations and structural changes.

The life of the electric meter -505, declared by the manufacturer, is 32 years. Simplicity in work, low cost, long verification time and working capacity determined a high level of demand from the end user for the presented product.

The designation of the counting data is displayed on the front panel: the left side of the comma is kilowatt / hour, the right is the tenth of kilowatt / hour, which is painted in red. The device has a degree of protection of IP51 standard against penetration of water and dust.

The CO-505 electric meter during development and for many years of operation acquired a number of advantages:

According to the technical characteristics of the CO-505 electric meter, the limit level of the voltage range is from 176 V to 253 V. The frequency of the alternating voltage in the power supply varies from 47.5 to 52.5 Hz.

The maximum power of the voltage circuit in normal operation is 4.5 VA. The standard power consumed by the voltage circuit is 1.3 VA.

The maximum power in the current circuit does not exceed 0.5 V Β· A at the nominal frequency and temperature.

The CO-505 electric meter does not have a self-propelled device in the absence of an electric current and, accordingly, does not measure electric energy, β€œwinding” extra readings.

The minimum sensitivity of the device is 0.05 A.

The switching procedure is described in detail in the installation instructions for the device, which is included with the device. But connecting a single-phase meter does not have much difficulty. The device has 4 inputs for switching electrical wires. The input phase is connected to the first input on the left, and the phase output to the consumer mains is connected to the second. The zero terminal of the input is brought to the third terminal, and the output to the fourth.
