A world in which cars are almost equal in number to the population of the entire planet needs a system of measures that limit and create strict control on the roads. One of such measures of traffic control became dividing lanes on the roads, traffic lights and semaphores, traffic signs, barriers. Naturally, one should not forget about traffic rules - the main body of laws and rules for the implementation of the movement.
Road signs and their meaning
The most attention was paid to road signs due to their great diversity, as well as the many nuances that are associated with them. Having gone outside, on the first road you can undoubtedly find some kind of road sign: “brick”, “ring”, “triangle”. A common description, of course, will not give any clue what to do when a sign appears: after all, it signals something or, on the contrary, prohibits any action.
Below we will consider a road prohibition sign “brick” (named after its characteristic form), since it is one of the most controversial.
Types of Road Signs
To begin, consider the concept of "road sign". This is, first of all, a technical tool that has its own standard and is located on the road in order to ensure road safety by transmitting information to its participants using graphic drawings.
In modern traffic rules, 8 categories are distinguished, most accurately combining various road signs:
- warning (the most useful traffic signs that enable the driver to know in advance about the alleged danger, whether it is a sharp turn or a slippery road);

Prohibitory traffic signs
One of the most necessary road signs installed on the road are prohibitory. They are designed to ensure safe traffic, restricting or, conversely, removing restrictions. There are more than 30 prohibitory traffic signs. The main ones include:

- prohibitory traffic signs “No pedestrians / motor vehicles / motorbikes / tractors / trucks / horse-drawn carts / bicycles”;
- signs “Turn left / turn right / turn / overtake is prohibited”;
- "Maximum speed limit";
- road signs "End of the maximum speed limit zone / prohibition of overtaking by trucks / prohibition of overtaking / all restrictions";
- “Stop is prohibited”, as well as “No parking”, etc.
It should be noted that for these road signs there are clarifications when they are next to each other, as well as certain situations to which their effect does not apply.
What does the brick sign mean and what does it look like?
Do not call on the old sages and great minds to decide what a prohibition sign is. For example, “No entry” is a road sign depicted as a horizontally centered rectangle in the center on a red circle, which prohibits both the entry and passage of vehicles on a road section in a certain direction. Exceptions can be vehicles that move along this section of the road along the established route and have the corresponding supporting documents.
Once again, attention should be paid to the fact that this sign is very often installed on one-way roads in order to avoid a possible traffic accident. It prohibits movement in only one direction, and therefore do not be surprised at moving towards vehicles, it moves quite legally.

When considering a violation committed as a result of driving under the sign "brick", you should first of all start from the definition of the action that was committed. If a violation of the requirements of only a traffic sign is considered, then in accordance with the legislation the driver will be liable in the form of a fine in the amount of about 300 rubles, or will get off only with a warning from the traffic police. In other words, if only travel under the brick sign is considered, the fine will not become a significant financial problem for the driver.
However, if, in case of non-compliance with the requirements of the “No entry” road sign, the driver of the vehicle also violated other traffic regulations, having previously ignored the aforementioned symbol, then the liability increases by an order of magnitude. Punishment for driving under a traffic sign in conjunction with other violations

The sign "brick", the exceptions for which can be counted on the fingers, still has those. To begin with, it is worth considering cases for which this sign is no exception in order to avoid possible misunderstandings. “Entry is forbidden” cannot be ignored for those drivers who have an urgent desire or need for something: “grabbed the stomach”, “the iron remained unchecked”, “an important match is in progress”. Everyone is equal before the “sword” of the law, only emergency call services can use the exclusive right, provided the siren is turned on and other aspects. Also, those drivers whose parking or accommodation are associated with the need to violate the aforementioned sign are not able to consider their passage under the prohibition sign as an exception. “Brick” is a sign under which you can drive only if traffic is carried out only along the established route and if relevant documents are available. Only then the driver has the right to drive under this symbol and remain without a penalty and with rights.

The choice of the installation location of the prohibition sign, like any other, regardless of category and type, must be approached with great responsibility. This is due to the need to take into account both the intensity and the possible, permissible speed of vehicles in a given area.
A mandatory criterion, without which a traffic sign will be considered invalid, is the distance of its visibility. By standards, the prohibition sign "No entry" should be in sight at a distance of 100 meters. If this condition is not met, then the driver has the right to consider himself innocent when driving under it.
The area of ​​the prohibition sign "brick"
The area of ​​operation of the "brick", like most prohibitory signs, is usually limited by the distance from it to the nearest intersection or to the end of the border of a settlement in the absence of such an intersection. If the sign needs to be increased in extent of its action, then the only option is to repeat it with each new intersection. Similarly, if necessary, reduce the coverage of a road sign, it can be limited to other signs that remove the previous restrictions, or by placing the appropriate signs directly under the symbol itself indicating the exact distance.
