Point Blank is a multiplayer first-person shooter that has become quite a successful cyber discipline. The project appeared in 2009 and after a short time was published in Russia by NCSoft. This article describes the system requirements of Point Blank, as well as the history of the emergence of the game as an e-sports discipline.
Game history
Literally a year after the game appeared on the shelves, it was noticed by eSports fans. Due to its popularity, the shooter has been recognized as a sports discipline. At the moment, the game has more than 10 thousand teams that compete with each other in various tournaments. Point Blank is not a super-popular project, therefore both the audience and prize pools are much smaller than in CS. However, this did not prevent the creation of a cohesive and friendly community of the game.
Every year there are world championships and dozens of smaller tournaments. Point Blank system requirements allow you to play on weak computers, which contributes to the influx of new players and attract the attention of different segments of the population.
Advantages and disadvantages of the game
One of the main advantages of Point Blank is its dynamics. No other shooter (except that the โCall of Dutyโ) can be compared with this game in terms of dynamism. On the map during the battle, any actions constantly occur, the noise of the machines does not subside for a second, and decisions by the players are made on the go.
The pluses include a variety of modes. Only a few are used for official matches, but ordinary players have a lot of fun. Here you will find the usual team-to-team battles, defense and capture of points, even battles with dinosaurs.
The players themselves who come across the servers spoil the impression of the game a little. Since the system requirements of Point Blank are democratic enough to run the game on computers 6-7 years old, the audience grows too large. This somewhat hinders the formation of a community in which they understand and know how to play Point Blank.
Also disadvantages include a large amount of donut. Things for real money change the appearance of a weapon or character, you can improve the performance of armor or combat power. Because of this, the balance between the teams suffers.
Point Blank System Requirements
To run the game at low quality, you need the following configuration: Intel Pentium 4 processor or AMD equivalent, 512 MB RAM and 1 GB on the hard drive for installation. Also for Point Blank, the minimum system requirements imply a stable Internet connection.
For high-quality graphics, you need: a 2-core 3 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and 256 MB on a video card.
