In Soviet times, one of the most popular and beloved detective detective youth television films was Dagger, Bronze Bird and The Last Summer of Childhood. They were filmed from the books of Anatoly Rybakov, an outstanding Russian writer and prose writer. Let us dwell on the story "Dagger", or rather, on its brief content, to once again recall the events that those simple Moscow Arbat boys who lived in the difficult and troubled post-revolutionary time had to endure.
Fishermen. "Dagger". Summary
The first part of the book describes the atmosphere of the civil war of the 20s. The main character is an ordinary boy, Misha Polyakov, who temporarily moved to the provincial town of Revsk to spend some time with his family and grandparents. His father died, unable to withstand the hard work at the imperial penal servitude, and his mother worked hard from morning till night in a textile factory. That is why her parents periodically took the boy Misha to him in order to better look after him.
Summary “Cortica” begins its development from the moment when, leaving the yard early in the morning, Misha Polyakov decided to secretly cut out an elastic band from Uncle Semyon’s old bicycle cell in order to make himself a slingshot that he had dreamed about for so long. And here, in a completely random way, he draws attention to the fact that their neighbor, sailor Sergei Ivanovich Polyakov, quickly hid something in an old doghouse.
Plot twist
The boy waited a little while his neighbor left to check his cache and find out what he had hidden there so valuable. Bear put his hand in and felt for a soft bundle, unfolding which, he saw a brilliant officer three-sided dagger, the handle of which was wrapped around a bronze snake. Having carefully examined the thing, he hid it back. And here the summary of "Dagger" gets an exciting intrigue.
In those days, bandits of various stripes were operating in Revsk, and at any moment the White Guards could break through. Returning home for dinner, Bear hears that his family is talking about some Valery Sigismundovich Nikitsky, a former retired white officer who led a large gang.
In the evening, Misha met with Polev, who told him about the battleship “Empress Maria”, on which he had once served. The next day, the restless boy wanted to take a closer look at the hidden dagger. He pulled it out of the cache, when suddenly two wood splitters appeared in the yard, preventing him from putting this cold weapon in place. They began to behave very suspiciously and for some reason became interested in Polev. Misha had to hide the dagger at home, and then he went for a walk around the city with his best friend Genka.
When after a while he returned home, he saw how Nikitsky’s people twisted Polevoy and began to demand a dirk. The boy quickly realized that he instantly pulled out the dagger hidden by him and handed it to Polevoy, and he threw himself at the feet of one of the bandits, thereby saving a neighbor who managed to escape from his pursuers. Summary of the story "Dagger" is increasingly confusing military secrets, which the boys will soon have to learn.
Dirk History
In fact, a very interesting and dangerous story was connected with the dagger. On the ship "Empress Maria" Polevoy served with the White Guard Nikitsky. And once he became an involuntary witness to the murder of Nikitsky officer Vladimir, the former owner of the mysterious dagger. Polevoy wanted to detain him, but during the battle the ship exploded and the scabbard remained with the killer, and the dagger itself with Polevoy. The summary of The Dagger continues with another unexpected event.
Return to Moscow
As a result, Polevoy gives Misha’s dagger for storage and tells that this precious thing has some kind of code, and that the keys to it are in the scabbard. Having taken possession of these two things at the same time, you can open a certain cache. He also recalls that the orderly Nikitsky Filin may know the truth associated with the dagger.
Soon, Mom arrives for Misha and takes him back to Moscow. He, too, beats up to go and Genka, who wanted to go to his aunt Agrippina Tikhonovna. Bear for a moment did not forget about his secret, and together with Genka they undertook their own investigation. Soon they found out that Mishkin’s neighbor in the Moscow apartment was a storehouse named Filin.
Owl
And now the summary of “Dagger” is gradually starting to bring the reader closer to the solution. Soon their friend Slavka joined the guys. After questioning Aunt Agrippina, who also lived in the neighborhood, they found out that Filin had indeed once served in the Navy. The boys began to follow him and once overheard his conversation with a philatelist from a trading shop. These two were talking about some kind of cipher. The guys also found that the scabbard from the shop to his father should deliver the son of Filin Bork. And then they arranged everything so cunningly that they managed to steal a bundle with a scabbard from this poor fellow.
Terentyev
Now the guys can only solve the mystery. They connected the director of the school, Alexei Ivanovich, to this case, who unraveled the inscription that said the dagger was a mechanical key for some watch factory. They also recognize the name of the former owner, they were a certain Vladimir Terentyev. The guys, continuing their investigation, begin to look for his family. Understanding that the matter is dangerous, the director informs his friend from the NKVD Sviridov.
Their joint searches lead to the mother of the murdered, Maria Gavrilovna Terentyeva, who lived in Pushkino near Moscow. The guys began to watch the house when they suddenly saw that none other than Nikitsky himself came out of her house. He, under a false name, crept into confidence in the mother of the officer Terentyev, whom he had killed. And here is a summary of the "Dagger" comes to a denouement.
Main interchange
The guys immediately informed Sviridov of this, who immediately raided and arrested the bandit, who, after much excuse, confronted the authorities after confrontation with Misha.
Terentyev’s mother recognized her son’s dagger and pointed to a large antique clock. After several turns of the handle, a secret opened in the watch, in which there were secret papers with the exact coordinates of the sunken ships on which the ancient treasures were transported.
Nikitsky himself was interested in the ship of the Crimean Khan Davlet-Girey with gold, which sank in Balaklava Bay.
As a result, this list was sent to the organization “Ship Hoist”, on which, in fact, Polevoi himself worked. But Mishka, Genka and Slavka were soon solemnly accepted into the Komsomol.
The writer Anatoly Rybakov “Dirk” famously twisted. The summary cannot convey the full range of colors of the events that have taken place and their urgency, so it’s more interesting to read this work in the original.
