We calculate the crate
Since this material is soft enough, it is not attached to the roof itself, but to a crate specially mounted for this purpose. Note that for its proper design you need to carefully make all measurements.
So, if the roof along the entire length has a slope of up to ten degrees, you will have to do a continuous crate. In addition, you will need to overlap 30 cm of material from each row. If the slope is 10-15 degrees, then you will need already 20 cm of overlap and a crate, the step of which can be made equal to 45 cm.
The best option is to tilt more than 15 degrees. The step is 60 cm, and the size of the lap material does not exceed 17 cm. In this case, the andulin roof, the installation instructions of which we are considering, will cost less and will last longer.
Installation of the lathing
There are no special recommendations in this case, but it is worth noting that it is more expedient to fix its elements on bolted joints. If you just change the slate roof, you can leave the old crate, after replacing the worn out elements.

Sheets of material need to be customized according to measurements, using a simple hacksaw for wood. Difficulties with sawing are easily solved after you grease the tool.
The laying process must be carried out in a checkerboard pattern. Putting on the leeward side of the sheet, observing a strict sequence. Each even row is very desirable to start with only half of the sheet. In this case, only an overlap of three elements is obtained, which greatly facilitates all the work.
Nuances of fasteners
You need to fix it in two places: where the sheets "crawl" onto each other, and also at the very end of the piece of material. Note that for proper durability and a better aesthetic appearance, an extremely straight line of fasteners should be drawn. It is best to use a conventional plumb line, which you can easily navigate. Keep in mind that the proverb about sevenfold measuring here is most appropriate: if you incorrectly nailed a sheet, you are unlikely to be able to remove the nails without spoiling the appearance of the coating.
