Location

History
This town was not remarkable in the first half of the 19th century. Moreover, he was not a city at all, but a small inconspicuous village. In 1851, a railway station was opened here. Several ancient estates have been preserved in Bolog. The remains of one of them can be seen on the shores of a picturesque lake. On Lenin Square stands the house of the merchant Ryabinin, built in the 19th century. On Cathedral is the house of Artemyev.
Local attractions include the building of the city station, built in the middle of the XIX century. A monument to Vladimir Vysotsky was erected next to this architectural monument, miraculously survived for so much time. The actor and poet often visited Bolog.
