General description of the plant

A perennial plant has a tuberous root system. Its peculiarity is that by the fall its tuber stores a large amount of liquid with nutrients, while it becomes dense and elastic, and acquires a light brown color. During the dormant phase, all of these nutrients end, and the tuber becomes loose and lethargic.
Lanceolate bright green leaves of forest orchids are sometimes covered with dark spots. The inflorescence of the plant is located on an upright thick stem, and the weakly leafy stem has only 2-7 leaves. Heights range from 10 (dwarf) to 70 cm, depending on the variety.
