Mountain Clans Supplement (Disciples 3)

Turn-based strategies are not particularly dynamic and speed what is happening, they are stretched, calm, but no less intense and exciting. That is why they always find their fans who are ready to spend several hours playing games, thinking through each move. There are several series of similar games that have gained worldwide fame, for example, “Heroes of Might and Magic” are considered the most successful project in this direction, from the third episode of this series many developers of turn-based strategies take an example. However, there are other significant projects, such as Disciples. Relatively recently, the third part of the series was released, which impressed very many, which is why various add-ons began to be released to it, expanding the storyline and allowing gamers to enjoy the gameplay even longer. The last addition was to be part of the "Mountain Clans." Disciples 3, however, remained without this episode. Why so?

The third part

As with Heroes of Might and Magic, Disciples also began to focus on RPGs over time, leaving behind elements of a turn-based strategy, giving them less and less significance. Naturally, such were the “Mountain Clans”. Disciples 3 already assigned the hero a central role, and the army that accompanied him was of secondary importance, like all other elements. However, the popularity of this part of the series turned out to be really large. Fans accepted the changes, and the bias in the more popular RPG genre attracted even more fans of computer games to the project. Thus, the game has become another masterpiece. As already mentioned, this entailed the planning of further add-ons such as Undead Hordes, Rebirth, and Mountain Clans. Disciples 3 gradually overgrew with add-ons that made the game even more popular.

Disciples 3 Add-ons

Add-ons are always issued specifically for those games that receive huge demand in the market. It is unlikely that you will see additions to projects that have failed in sales, because releasing additional content to them is unprofitable. However, this project has earned even the third addition - "Mountain Clans". Disciples 3 was left with only two. The first addon is called the "Undead Horde". Already from the name it is clear that you have to take on the role of master of the army of the living dead and go through a full-fledged campaign for this race. The second addon is slightly different in nature, because it does not add a new campaign, but completely reworkes the original project, improving it, making it better, introducing advanced features and so on. And now the time has come for the latest addition to Disciples 3 - Mountain Clans. But why is it still not accessible to users?

Addon "Mountain Clans"

As you already understood, the original game and two add-ons for it can be easily downloaded or purchased on physical media. But the Internet is full of mentions of "Mountain Clans", and you cannot find them anywhere. Why is this the case? Where can I get the highly anticipated Disciples 3 add-on? Mountain Clans are not really available. The fact is that the studio that created the original version of the game was not working on the development of this add-on. And, unfortunately, it closed, and did not finish this add-on. Gamers have long been expecting an add-on, which, according to the screenshots, should have been very interesting and exciting, but in the end they did not get anything, because another one appeared in the shelf of unfinished projects - the game "Disciples 3: Mountain Clans". Alas, nobody will write a review of it, gamers will not be able to test the project in action. Or is there a chance?

Possibility to continue

Many fans, after the official announcement that there will be no third add-on for the game, continued to believe that everything was normal and they could go through another campaign of their favorite game in the adored fantasy world. But today it is already clear to everyone that continuation should not be expected. The fact is that the developer company announced the termination of work in May 2012. Almost three years have passed, and no other developer has set about creating a sequel. Therefore, we can safely say that the project is completed, and the Mountain Clans will never appear on the Internet or on store shelves. Of course, this cannot be said with certainty about the series itself, because it has already left an impressive mark in history and has become one of the most popular among turn-based strategies. Therefore, there is a likelihood that any company will decide to revive it (taking into account the fact that the addition "Rebirth" was actually revolutionary and made a masterpiece out of the game). But for now, it's all just speculation.
