How to make pillowcases?

Pillowcases for sofa cushions with their own hands are made quite simply and in most cases the same. First, you need to decide which pillows you will decorate. Secondly, measurements are taken from sofa accessories. To do this, use a centimeter.

Thirdly, materials and tools are being prepared. No matter what pillowcase you want to make, you still need fabric. It is better to use soft material (such as cotton, fleece, and so on). Without fail you will need scissors, a pencil and a ruler, thread with a needle. Depending on the chosen design, a glue gun and various decorative elements (ribbon, rhinestones, sequins and the like) may come in handy.

Create volume with felt

Felt is an excellent material for creating various crafts. It will be useful even when you want to sew a pillowcase on a sofa cushion with your own hands. So, you need a large piece of plain fabric, bright felt, scissors, a lid, a pencil, a snake, a glue gun or a needle with a thread.

First, cut out two squares from the fabric material, from which the pillowcase will be sewn. Their size should be a couple of centimeters more on each side than the size of the pillow itself. Now put the felt in front of you. Attach the cover to the material and circle it with a pencil. You got a circle. Draw a large number of such shapes, and then carefully cut them.

Bend each circle in half so that it takes on a three-dimensional shape. Now start decorating the prepared part of the pillowcase. Circles are sewn only along the fold line. Instead of thread, you can use a glue gun. Circles should be attached to the fabric and to each other. Do this in a chaotic manner or line up. It all depends on your imagination and preferences. You can decorate both one side of the pillowcase, and two.

When the circles are glued, you need to sew the two parts of the pillowcase together. To do this, fold the parts with the decorated side inward and walk on three sides with a needle and thread or glue gun. Sew or glue the snake on the fourth side.

The pillowcase is ready! It remains only to turn it out and put it on the pillow.

Aerial lace

A pillowcase on the pillow will turn out very tender and airy (any hostess can make such a beauty with her own hands) if you decorate it with lace. For crafts, you will need: several meters of different lace, fabric for pillowcases, sewing pins, a snake, a needle and thread, scissors.

To get started, make a pillowcase blank. To do this, just cut a piece of fabric of the desired size with a small margin. Then cut a few strips of lace. Their length should equal the width of the pillowcase, and the amount depends on your preference.

Attach the first strip to the bottom edge of the part and pin its ends with pins. Sew the lace gently. Then take the next strip and lay it on top. It should slightly cover the bottom row. Sew on lace. Sew on the remaining strips in this way. Alternate different stripes in a chaotic manner, then the resulting pattern will be very interesting and beautiful.

When you are done, sew together the details of the pillowcase. Do not forget about the snake.

Tender roses

Making very beautiful pillowcases for pillows with your own hands is quite simple. For example, those that are decorated with voluminous roses are very original. To create such an accessory you will need: fabric, fleece, scissors, a needle with a thread or a glue gun, a pencil, a pair of compasses or a cover, a snake.

Prepare the item for the pillowcase. Do not forget that you need to cut the fabric with a margin. Then make a large number of fleece circles. To do this, use a compass or attach a lid to the material and circle it with a pencil. Better make circles large enough, somewhere around 10 cm in diameter.

Cut the circle in a spiral, and then make waves on the line (see picture above). Now roll the part into a roll. It is necessary to roll from the edge. Attach the end with a thread or glue gun. Make some of these blanks rosettes.

Now the flowers need to be sewn or glued to the front of the pillowcase. It will look very nice if roses are arranged in a row. When the decor is ready, sew a pillowcase and attach a zipper.

1. Stock up on patches of various colors and with different patterns. The main thing is that they all be from the same material.

1. Take a large piece of fabric and prepare the details for the pillowcase. The color of the material depends on what kind of application you have in mind: if it is just a silhouette, then choose a bright fabric, you can even with a pattern, but if it is a picture of several pieces - the material needs neutral shades.
2. Draw a future application on paper. For example, the silhouette of a rabbit from the back.
3. Cut out a paper outline.
4. Attach the pattern to another piece of cloth and cut the part.
