A bit of development history.
It all started with one single store in the Spanish city of A Coruña, in which there were goods similar to the models of famous fashion houses, not inferior in quality to them, but at the same time the price was quite affordable for a wide range of customers. This was the main concept of Zara, founded in 1975 by Spaniard Amancio Ortega. The main objective at that time was to improve the technology of clothing production so that the latest trends appeared on store shelves as quickly as possible. And Ortega still achieved this. With the help of Casteiano, who translated all the information processing technologies and the development of design innovations into computerized versions, and using the services of 200 designers at the same time, they managed to reduce the time from the birth of an idea to its implementation to two weeks. While the standard development of design and its further processing by the famous couturiers takes half a calendar year. As a result, they can boast of new collections only once or twice a year.
In addition, zara clothing was of a fairly high quality, and models developed on the basis of fashion trends were enjoyed not only by Spanish customers, but also by foreign consumers.
In 1985, Zara entered the company community under the leadership of Amancio Ortega, known as Industria de Diseño Textil SA, and in abbreviation Inditex. Well- known brands such as Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Oysho, Uterqüe, Stradivarius and Bershka were also included.
What is the reason for success.
The key to Zara’s success is the unusual policy of the company, which is more focused not on advertising, but on the frequent (once every two weeks) new models coming into the market. Thanks to this, she ensured more frequent visits by the same customers, as the models are constantly being updated, and the desire to purchase something from the new collection appears with every update.
The quality of zara clothing and the pricing policy of the company played a huge role in the distribution of the brand throughout the world. In addition to Spain (the brand’s homeland), the best zara clothing has taken root in France, where today more than 116 stores are actively operating. The developed models were to the taste of the picky French, and outlets quickly expanded throughout the country.
