The animals of the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region are mainly inhabitants of the steppes and forest-steppes. The publication itself was published in 1998 and 2000. At first, only plants were published, then animals. In 2008, the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region was carefully revised. Plants and animals of certain species were excluded from it. The Novosibirsk Ministry of Natural Resources is responsible for compliance with measures to restore the population. Any violation - hunting, logging, intentional destruction - is punishable by law.
Insects
This is the most numerous part of the list of environmental documents; animals of the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region are no exception. We will analyze those species that cause the greatest concern.
The steppe dwarf is a grasshopper of the orthoptera squad quite large. Individuals reaching 75 mm in length are known.
A special mark is a pair of stripes along the entire body. Prefers to dwell on tall herbs. This creates a limiting factor: mowing and destruction of habitats.
Apollo ordinary is a butterfly protected not only on the Novosibirsk land, but also throughout the country. It has rather large wings of gray-white color with a pattern characteristic of all Apollos: large black spots. The cause of death is human activity aimed at beveling of meadow grasses, grazing in places where caterpillars develop.
Black-headed false motley is another butterfly, the number of which is dangerously low. It is not like the rest of the butterflies: it has large front wings and a fairly elongated body. The limiting factors are the same as for the rest of the insects: destruction of habitats.
Fish and reptiles
Animals of the Novosibirsk region, listed in the Red Book - it is also fish. On the verge of extinction is the Siberian sturgeon. It is considered the largest fish in the region: adult individuals exceed 40 kilograms. The habitat is the Ob River, at the very bottom of the Novosibirsk Region (if you look at the map). The main enemy of this rare fish is poachers, as well as human activities on the banks of rivers, for example, the organization of reservoirs.
Lenok is a fish from the genus salmon-like, the number of which is catastrophically small.
The weight of an adult varies from 700 grams to 3 kilograms, the color is olive. In the Novosibirsk Region there are few places for possible fish habitat: it prefers river rapids, sources or estuaries of river tributaries in lakes.
Only one reptile (common mollusk) is contained in the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region. Plants and animals listed in it need special protection. The muzzle population (snake) lives in a very limited space, which can change at any time due to human activity - this is the limiting factor.
Birds
As for the birds, these are very numerous animals of the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region. Moreover, many of them are protected not only in this region, but throughout Russia. These birds include curly and pink pelicans. The birds are similar to each other, differ in size (pink smaller), colors. Also, a curly pelican has a fancy plumage on the back of his head, for which he got his name.
Proud flamingos are animals of the Novosibirsk Region, listed in the Red Book.
These large birds on long legs are the only ones living in our country. The problem of reduction in numbers is a change in the water level at the nesting sites, which is why nests are flooded.
I would like to note birds of prey. First of all, these are eagles: a dwarf and a steppe, a golden eagle and a burial ground; as owls: house and a sparrow; owls: white and hawk.
Mammals
The warm-blooded animals of the Red Book of the Novosibirsk Region are represented by a large detachment of bats. These are night-lights: long-tailed, ikonnikova and pond. They live most often in dark buildings: attics, basements - during the cold weather wander into caves. All these three nightlights differ in color: from light (pond) to dark (long-tailed). The ionic variety is distinguished by its miniature size: it is the smallest bat.
In addition, light gray large tublones are protected from bats, they are also called Siberian.
Large jerboas are another animals of the Novosibirsk region, listed in the Red Book. They inhabit the forest-steppes, which are often used by people in economic activities, making their plowing and processing with chemicals.
Another worth noting is an eared hedgehog and river otter.
