Pushkin Nature Reserve "Mikhailovsky" is located in the center of the Pskov region, among the forests, away from the bustle of the city. This is a particularly valuable cultural monument of the peoples of the Russian Federation since 1995. It is believed that the poetry homeland of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799-1837) is located here. The hilly area, the expanse of the lakes Kuchane and Malenets, a powerful pine forest, spread over half of the seven hundred hectares occupied by the national heritage - this is how a natural deity looks like, becoming inspiration, life, tears, love, a classic of Russian literature.
Three dates
All who cherish the poet’s work dream of visiting the Pushkinsky Nature Reserve. The district, which stores the great pages of history, includes the estates Mikhailovsky, Trigorskoye and Petrovsky, as well as the settlements Voronich, Savkino, Vrev, Velje. In the eighteenth century, the estate was founded by Pushkin’s grandfather by mother Osip Abramovich Hannibal. In the mature memory of the poet, this is the family nest of mother Nadezhda Osipovna Pushkina.
It is believed that the Pskov Freedom endowed Alexander Sergeevich with special inspiration. Here were born more than a hundred of his works - poems, poems. A descendant of Hannibal visited Mikhailovsky in 1817-1819, lived for two years of exile (1824-1826). Many years later, in 1922, by decision of the Soviet government, Pushkin places were recognized as protected.
The open-air museum hosts many events. The main ones:
- The poet's birthday is June 6 (old style is May 26).
- Day of exile in Mikhailovsky (August).
- Day of death - February 10 (January 29).
On these dates, the reserve is filled with a large number of people. These are local residents, guests from different parts of Russia, near and far abroad. The festival of Pushkin poetry, held in early June in the village of Pushkin Mountains, is known throughout the world.
Gift of Elizabeth Petrovna
At least once in a lifetime it is worth visiting the Pushkin Nature Reserve "Mikhailovsky". Reviews of tourists say: this is a special world, fraught with many interesting facts that compose the annals of the house of Pushkin-Hannibals with adjacent buildings and lands. As you know, in 1742, the youngest daughter of Peter Alekseevich Romanov Elizabeth I gave Abram Petrovich Hannibal (“arap”) part of the royal possessions of Mikhailovsky Bay.
After the death, the possession was transferred to the son of Osip Abramovich Hannibal, the grandfather of A.S. Pushkin, who, as they said, was the organizer of the creation of a small village on the banks of the Soroti River. The monastery of gentlemen and the outbuildings of the attendants grew on a hill. In front of him and in the present there is a peculiar symbol of Mikhailovsky - the driveway. From the south, the estate is adorned by a park that flows smoothly into a pine forest.
From the sloping hill you can see Sorot, the valley of Lake Petrovsky (sometimes called Kuchane) and the park of the same name. The house is not the one in which Pushkin lived, but was reconstructed in strict accordance with the preserved descriptions. It was in it that it was decided to build the main museum exposition. For many years it has been popular.
Good friend of a poor youth
Tourists arriving at the reserve feel the Pushkin spirit as soon as they are at the main southern entrance to the manor house. Already in the hallway before them appears the story of Mikhailovsky. The heart is excited at the sight of the door to the right: behind it is the office of Pushkin himself. It has been restored to the smallest detail: there is even a little bench under the legs that Anna Kern presented to Alexander. And with a massive iron cane, the poet liked to go to fairs in Svyatogorye.
Opposite is the girlfriend’s room of the days of his harsh, decrepit dove-nanny. This is the so-called maiden, where, under the guidance of Arina Rodionovna, the yard girls were engaged in needlework. Parents of Alexander Sergeyevich on rare visits occupied three rooms on the north side of the house (bedroom, salzah, dining room).
The colorful interior is complemented by a billiard table, which is called exactly the same as with a player who has become famous throughout the world for his remarkable literary talent. To the left of the house-museum you can see the nanny's house, lurking among lilacs and acacias.
In one half there is a bathhouse, in the other there is a little lamp, where, probably, the old woman was “dozing under the whirring of her spindle” when the storm covered the mist with a storm. Nearby - three wings, where the manager and clerk lived, there was a kitchen and a human room.
Beauty genius Anna
Pushkin liked to walk in the park, broken by his grandfather Osip Hannibal at the end of the eighteenth century. Spruce Alley and today permeates the array. Through it once entered into possession. There are almost no old trees.
The famous family had its own chapel. It has been restored to its historical place, at the very end of the spruce kingdom. At an angle to the coniferous expanse is the linden alley of Anna Kern. In the June shadow of young sticks, Alexander admired the gentle image of the lady, her heavenly features. It was in the summer of 1825, when Kern came to Mikhailovskoye, today part of the Pushkinsky nature reserve.
The ponds of the park also deserve attention. On one of them there is a secret place - an island of solitude, where Pushkin often visited: poets love solitude. It is pleasant to note that here everything has been restored with great scrupulousness: bridges, brooding arbors. Old track stitches were found and laid again. On the western edge of the estate there is Lake Malenets, surrounded by a pine forest, which Alexander Sergeyevich also liked to visit.
Last shelter
The Pushkin Nature Reserve will tell you so much that it seems that you can’t listen to it or review it! So, Trigorsky (Yegoryevskaya Bay) was owned by the neighbors and friends of the Pushkin Osipov-Wulf. The village is located on one of three hills (hence the name) to the west of Mikhailovsky.
Three kilometers through the forest past Lake Malenets - and dear comrades are already visiting Alexander Sergeyevich (or he is with them). Pushkin liked to sit in the large Osipov library. Their house burned down in the stormy 1918, but was restored in the sixties of the twentieth century. It organized a museum (as in the house of A.P. Hannibal in the village of Petrovsky).
And about the Holy Mountains. They went to them through Bugrovo (village), bypassing the mill of the Svyatogorsky monastery (water). The hydraulic structure was restored. Along with other objects of the show (the miller’s house, the peasant's yard, the threshing floor), it harmoniously blended into the museum complex. Svyatogorsk Assumption Monastery is known since antiquity. Here are the graves of the grandfather and grandmother of A. S. Pushkin, his mother. And next to them is the last refuge of the 37-year-old classic of Russian literature.
