Today, many are wondering how to obtain Slovak citizenship to a Russian citizen. In order to move to a highly developed country with incredibly excellent living conditions, it is necessary to clearly understand how many difficulties the transfer to the Schengen zone poses. Nevertheless, all the difficulties associated with the move, fully and fully justify themselves. You will see for yourself if you just look at life in Slovakia from the inside.
Why go here?
The Slovak Republic is a country located in the very center of Europe. For a long time, from year to year, for many centuries, it served as a standard for the culture of the Old World. Slovakia is famous for its beautiful landscapes, majestic castles and rich history. All this was reflected in art, architecture and the people themselves. Obtaining Slovak citizenship means touching the past while in the future. The country is at an impressive level of education and science, not destroyed by the realities of modern society, destroying everything beautiful that is in this place. Strict and grotesque conservatism in this country keeps up to date.
But do not rush to pack your bags! Life in a cultural society is associated with many difficulties, which will be discussed below.
Visa to Slovakia. Where to begin?
If you doubt whether you, as a citizen of the Russian Federation, should obtain Slovak citizenship, you should see this country, and then decide the question yourself. Here you will definitely need a visa to Slovakia.
For citizens of the Russian Federation, this is not very difficult. To do this, you must visit one of the visa centers located in Moscow or St. Petersburg.
What documents are needed for a visa?
For citizens who want to visit the country, but do not count on obtaining Slovak citizenship, visas are provided in two categories: C and D. To obtain them, you need to prepare a certain list of documents:
- International passport. It is extremely important that it is not expired both for the period of the beginning of the trip, and for its end. If the expiration date of your document comes to an end within three months, it is recommended to replace it.
- Photocopies of all pages of the passport. Copies of the document should be in perfect condition, all symbols and notes from the identity card should be clearly visible on them.
- A photocopy of previously issued visas. This item is not obligatory, but it will not be superfluous, since the fact of visiting Schengen plays an important role in issuing a visa to EU countries.
- A photocopy of the pages of the national passport. It is necessary to make a copy of the first two pages, a page with registration and marriage information. You must do the 14th page even if you were not married. If you are very worried, then make copies of absolutely all pages of the document.
- Application for entry or citizenship of Slovakia. One of the most important components in obtaining a visa. Must be surrendered electronically. In it, you should clearly and clearly state why you needed to visit the Slovak Republic.
- Photocards. Do not neglect this item. Photos should be color, taken on a gray background. They should not be more than six months ago, and their size should be 3.5: 4 cm. They must be attached to the main questionnaire, but in no case should they be glued.
- Information about the position, earnings and work experience. They must be made on the original letterhead of the institution, as well as certified by a senior official.
- Confirmation of material well-being. Here you will need a certificate of income and bank statements and other similar documents. Slovak citizenship or simply the right to visit cannot be given to those people who will not have at least 56 euros per day.
- Tickets for flights in buses, airplanes and other vehicles, as well as their copies.
- Medical insurance for 30 thousand euros.
- Reservation of living space.
Special requirements
The Consulate General of the Republic of Slovakia, located in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, usually requires the invitation of certain persons or reservations from the hotel.
If the purpose of your visit is not related to obtaining Slovak citizenship, but only tourism, then you must present a hotel voucher or a voucher confirming payment for accommodation in the territory of the state. It is also necessary to fax a photocopy of these documents. Email is allowed. Photocopies should show the official stamp of the institution. They must be accompanied by an extract from the bank and checks and other proof of payment of the premises. If you want to arrange the whole trip, in which you are going to visit a couple of Schengen countries, you must provide an extract from hotels and other countries.
How to apply for a visa to Slovakia?
To fill out a visa application form, and subsequently to obtain Slovak citizenship, a Russian citizen must submit a special document - an application form. It is worth taking this extremely seriously. For residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, submission through the electronic website of the consulate is provided. There are simply no other ways. But if you are submitting a package of documents through the Consulate General of Yekaterinburg, you will have to write it by hand, making a questionnaire on paper using the official form of the institution.
The visa application form must be completed online using only the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. The only technical issue related to the certification of a document is the installation of Internet Explorer on a personal computer.
How to fill out a form?
At the very beginning, you should directly go to the site, and then click on the "Visa Application" tab. To fill out the questionnaire, it is recommended to choose the languages ββof the Romance or Slavic group (German, English, Slovak), as they more correctly reveal the essence of the questions asked.
When certifying a document, all letters inscribed on the form must be Latin. You must fill out each box that will be marked in gray and red. If you were invited by a specific citizen of Slovakia, then information about him should be recorded in the "Inviting" column. In the case when you use the services of a travel agency, the data of the organization or company must be entered in the column "Inviting company". In no case should you fill in both columns!
About immigrants from Crimea
This case is special. The Government of the Slovak Republic, like the whole world, will not recognize the 2014 referendum. It follows that the issuance of visas to residents of the Crimea is not involved in the Moscow or St. Petersburg embassy of the state. Therefore, if you live in this territory, you must receive permission in Kiev, based on the citizenship of Ukraine.
Obtaining citizenship of Slovakia for Russians with children
If you have already started a family, in particular children, then for them it is also necessary to prepare a number of documents. First of all, you need to provide the original and a photocopy of the birth certificate of the children.
In the case when the child is included in the passport, it is necessary to paste his photo, regardless of his age.
In order to send a child unaccompanied by guardians, a notarized power of attorney containing national and international stamps is required. Written permission from the parents is also necessary if the child is going to cross the border of the republic on his own.
Registration of biometric data
Obligatory point in obtaining citizenship of Slovakia for Russians is the delivery of biometrics. This is a process in which you take fingerprints of drawings, and also take a digital photo. In biometrics, your weight, height and special signs, such as tattoos or moles, are written. All information about you will be in the cloud for 5 years. Biometric data does not need to be re-submitted, as it is transmitted to all subsequent visa applications. Children who have not reached the age of 12 are exempted from this procedure.
Submission of applications. Consulate working hours
Filing a package of documents for moving to Slovakia is carried out at the embassy. It is located in Moscow and operates from Monday to Thursday, from nine in the morning to twelve in the afternoon. A finished visa can be obtained in a short period of time, between 15:00 and 15:30. To get an appointment with the embassy, ββyou need to send an application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic online.
If you want to submit documents to the Consulate of St. Petersburg, you must also make an appointment. It accepts applications on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and is open from ten in the morning until three in the afternoon. Here residents of the Pskov, Arkhangelsk and Novgorod regions, the Republic of Karelia and the Nenets Autonomous District receive passes.
Residents of the Urals, Volga and Siberia should contact the Hungarian Embassy, ββwhich is located in Yekaterinburg. Here the process of obtaining a visa is slightly different. The Hungarian Embassy does not provide electronic filing of applications, and therefore you can only sign up by phone (calls are received from Monday to Thursday from 15 to 17). Documents for obtaining visas are collected from ten in the morning until one in the afternoon, and ready permits are obtained from three to four. All time frames are given in Yekaterinburg time.
Naturalization
The main condition for obtaining Slovak citizenship, in addition to applying for a visa, is the passage of the naturalization process.
First of all, you must live in the territory of the Slovak Republic for at least 8 years, 5 of which you must have a permanent place of residence. In this case, you do not have the right to leave the state for more than 180 days, otherwise the necessary time counter will be reset to zero and the whole procedure will need to be repeated.
If you go to receive citizenship with children, they will receive citizenship within three years, but only if they do not leave the territory of the Slovak Republic at all.
Citizenship Simplification
Obtaining Slovak citizenship for Russians can also be simplified if you marry a citizen of this republic. However, you will still need to live in the country for at least five years on the basis of a residence permit. You can also receive special merits that the whole republic recognizes. This is the easiest way, but this concept is extremely loose. With these merits you can obtain citizenship right away.
If you do not have any citizenship, then to obtain Slovak you must live in the republic for only 3 years. After this time, the document will be in your pocket.
There is also a special relief, which concerns the acquisition of dual citizenship of Slovakia. This item is simple to fulfill only if you have a lot of money or special merits. If you invest in the economy of the republic from 1 million euros, and the contribution will concern the areas necessary for the country, then you will not have to wait 5 years. Significant cultural figures also receive shortened documents.
