Santa Claus has been with us for a very long time. There are several versions explaining the origin of this fabulous character. One of them is pagan. Our great-great-grandfathers sacredly believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors protect the race from hunger and bad weather. They were brought gifts in gratitude and respect.
