Composition
In the manufacture of the mixture, the amount of cement in the solution is minimal. Not the heaviest concrete 100 M has the scope indicated by building codes. Due to its structure, the material was given the name “lean concrete”. It is more rational to use it to bind aggregate particles.
The mixture also includes crushed stone, which can be gravel, granite and limestone. The base is taken cement grade 400 or 500.
Cooking and proportions
In the manufacture of the solution, the established ratio of the components is maintained. More often, concrete proportions of 100 M 1: 4.6: 7 (in the sequence cement / sand / crushed stone) are used when using cement M400. If the composition includes material M-500, the ratio changes slightly. The solution is prepared in a ratio of 1: 5.8: 8.1 in the above sequence.
Such concrete has low requirements in terms of strength. Therefore, no additives are used in its manufacture. Without additional components, 100 M concrete is not able to demonstrate a high level of frost resistance and water resistance. This limits its scope.
