But can local resorts compare with Greek, Cypriot, Turkish or even Egyptian? When you recall Sochi or other towns on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus of Soviet times, you immediately come to mind the dull rooms of boarding houses with more than Spartan atmosphere, meager and tasteless food, crush and quarrels for a place in the sun (or under a canopy) on crowded city beaches.
But time does not stand still, and changes for the better have passed in Russian resorts. To attract tourists with money, local entrepreneurs built new pensions or completely converted the old ones. Now sanatoriums and dispensaries provide a completely different level of service and food. In this article we will consider such a Russian resort as Gelendzhik. Where is Gelendzhik located and how to get there
Since 2001, this coastal city of the Krasnodar Territory has been recognized as a federal resort.
