Choosing winter clothes, we want it not only to look attractive, but also to be functional. Of course, the saying "we are so poor that we can only afford expensive things" does not lose relevance. However, today in the market, the price does not always directly reflect quality. Both a cheap down jacket and an inexpensive coat can serve us for more than one season. And, for example, a fur coat for several tens of thousands of rubles may well turn out to be of poor quality. The fur will begin to “bald”, thin out, or even “molt”. After all, it is in the price segment of expensive things that the risk of getting a fake for your money is much greater.
A down jacket or a fur coat?
If you, for example, mainly travel by public transport, if you have young children who constantly need to be put on their knees or held in their arms, buying a chic fur coat is completely pointless. But a cheap down jacket for one or two seasons is exactly what you need. Remember also that often two-thirds of the amount you pay for "branded items" is just your voluntary contribution to advertising this company. The cost of production - and very often the sources of raw materials - of "branded" clothing and "ordinary" in most cases are approximately at the same level. Only one company pays more attention to positioning, and the other - to mass marketing.
That is why a cheap down jacket purchased in the "Chinese" market or in a store will not differ significantly from a similar thing, for which you will pay twice as much in a branded boutique.
The advantages of this type of clothing in terms of functionality are obvious. Cheap women's down jackets are quite light, they can be washed in a car and dried, periodically shaking. Unlike a fur coat or an expensive coat, caring for such a thing will require minimal effort, which is especially true for young mothers. Of course, if a woman wants to emphasize "status", she will not choose a cheap down jacket, even for walks around the playground. However, in Europe, where clothes and appearance are much more democratic, for a long time the price of a thing is by no means a guarantee of quality or an indicator of social status.
We naively hope that if we pay more, the clothes will last us longer. Nevertheless, this is not always a direct dependence. Often, the high price only includes the costs of the seller for the rental of premises, advertising and marketing. Cheap

By purchasing a cheap down jacket, we initially rely on one or two, maximum three season socks. If such a thing is properly looked after, that is, washed at the appropriate temperature, thoroughly dried, then it will last more than one year. When choosing a cheap down jacket, you should immediately pay attention to the seams, to the locks (preferably, the zipper was metal). The threads should be pretty strong. Fluff should not come out of the seams. Otherwise, the choice of clothes is a matter of taste.
