Pisarev Alexander: biography
Alexander Alexandrovich came from a noble family of Moscow province. His father was a very wealthy man who received a European education.
Pisarev graduated in 1796 from the land gentry corps. And a year later he received the rank of second lieutenant and was enrolled in the life guard of the Semenovsky regiment. So the writer went to war. In 1805, Pisarev took part in the Battle of Austerlitz. In this battle, he managed to distinguish himself, for which he was awarded the rank of captain. Then he fought at Friedland. After this battle in 1807, he was again promoted to the rank of colonel.
War of 1812
At the beginning of the war, Pisarev Alexander served in the Semenovsky regiment and was part of the first brigade of the infantry guard division of the fifth reserve corps of the first Western Army. During the Patriotic War he took part in the following battles: Borodino, at Maloyaroslavets, near Krasnoye. After that, in 1813 he became commander of the Kiev Grenadier Regiment.
The military achievements did not end there. Pisarev participated in a foreign campaign. After the battle of Luzen, he was promoted to major general. In 1813 he was awarded the Order of St. George, Grade 4. Then he took part in the capture of Paris, was wounded in the leg and was again awarded St. George.
In 1815, due to poor health, he temporarily left the army. And finally, Pisarev retired only in 1823.
Career after the war
After his resignation in 1824, Pisarev Alexander became the trustee of Moscow University and the school district. The post took 5 years and during that time established military order, for which he earned the dislike of professors, but he was highly appreciated by Minister Shishkov, who ignored all complaints received.
Also in 1825 he took the place of the head of the Moscow Society of Naturalists, which he left in 1830. In 1829 he received his resignation from the post of trustee, was immediately appointed senator and received the title of Privy Councilor.
In 1836, Pisarev became a member of the Council, which was organized under the governor of the Kingdom of Poland Paskevich. Then, in 1840, he was appointed military governor of Warsaw.
Creation
Pisarev Alexander is a writer who did not have much time to study literature. However, despite this, he was quite famous in certain circles.
He began to engage in creativity since 1802. He began to write satirical works, fables. However, later he began to pay more attention to military-patriotic themes, composed hymns, odes, and โchoirsโ. These works were published in various literary magazines.
In 1804 he became a member of the Free Society of Lovers of Literature, Arts and Sciences. However, his views did not coincide with the opinion of the majority of members of society, despite this, Pisarev soon became chairman of the community.
In 1807, his work "Objects for Artists ..." was published, for which after 2 years he was elected a member of the Russian Academy, thanks to the patronage of Derzhavin.
Pisarev also became the author of three books devoted to the problems of art. And in 1817, โWar Letters ...โ came out, where the author acted as a historian, describing the events of 1812, of which he himself was a participant. In 1825 the book "Kaluga evenings ..." was published, which also included the poems of the writer.
Family life
Pisarev Alexander married in 1818, marrying Durasova Agrippina Mikhailovna, who came from a noble family, the daughter of a lieutenant general, a wealthy heiress - she got two estates near Moscow Gorki and Lublino. In the marriage of the writer, five children were born. Three sons - Sergey, Alexander and Mikhail, and two daughters - Olga and Sophia. Almost nothing is known about family relationships. However, despite the great fortune, Pisarevโs wife was constantly in financial difficulties. Her debts were so high that she had to sell first Lyublino, then the house at the Stone Bridge, and later even Gorki.
Agrippina Mikhailovna outlived her husband and after his death moved to Moscow. She was buried in a cemetery at the Simon Monastery next to her husband.
Last years
In 1845, Pisarev Alexander received his resignation and left the post of governor. At the same time, he received an appointment to the Moscow Senatorial Department. He left this place of service in 1847, retiring by age.
However, the retired writer did not live very long. And in 1848, on September 24, at the age of 67, he died. Pisarev lived a busy life and left a significant mark in history. He was not only an outstanding military man and an excellent public figure, but also an outstanding writer, whose talent, largely due to his service, was not fully disclosed.
