"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
The first part appeared in English in 1997. In 2000, this book from the Harry Potter series was translated into Russian. The sequence of parts, therefore, begins precisely with it.
The first events take place on November 1, 1981, when professors Doubledore and McGonagall meet - great wizards. They discuss the news of the battle with the Dark Lord, as well as the boy who participated in it and survived, having received a mark depicting lightning on his forehead. Harry Potter is that boy. He is brought up in the Dursleys foster family, where his origin is hidden from him, saying that Harry's parents died in a car accident. The boy lives in a closet under the stairs, where he spent his childhood.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone continues with the following events. When the hero turns 11 years old, Hagrid flies after him on a motorcycle with the message that he was enrolled in Hogwarts school. Together they go to the bank for the boy’s inheritance and buy him everything necessary for training. Harry arrives by train to this school, where he meets his classmates and already manages to make enemies. With the help of an old hat, all students are divided into four faculties, as a result of which Harry, as well as his comrades Hermione and Ron, fall into Gryffindor.
During the first year of training, a crime occurred: someone kills a unicorn, and the main character finds out that it is necessary to obtain immortality, and the second component of it is a philosopher's stone. The boy thinks the stone is in danger, and wants to save it with his friends. Here, friends expect various adventures and obstacles, but everything, as usual in fairy tales, ends successfully.

We continue to describe the events of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. McGonagall tells the main character that they treat bad-blood wizards badly, as well as about the Chamber of Secrets, which, according to legend, once opened, which led to the death of one of the students. According to him, a monster lives in this place, which can only be controlled by a thoroughbred wizard.
Students learn during training that Harry Potter is a serpent. The boy's girlfriend, Hermione, tells him that this is an ancient knowledge associated with dark forces that only real wizards possess. Potter must find the Chamber of Secrets alone, fight the basilisk and defeat him.
