Many people like only the modern versions of this project, someone with pleasure still goes through the first parts of the game. One way or another, Lara Croft fell in love with many at the end of the last century. Today we’ll talk about the crucial, critical sixth of Tomb Raider - The Angel of Darkness.

But since everything has its own story, it’s worthwhile to briefly recall the beginning of Lara Croft’s path in the virtual world. The first part appeared in 1996. She began to deal with the British studio Core Design. After the failed part 6, which we will talk about today, the rights were transferred to Crystal Dynamics. The company greatly changed the graphic component and received positive reviews about the trilogy.
The heroine Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) was first introduced in 1996. The first part marked the birth of a third-person shooter as a game genre. The project has become unrealistically popular and to this day gives rise to dozens of new similar games.
The following year, the second part of the toy was presented - Tomb Raider II: The Dagger of Xian, which introduces the player to Chinese culture. The third part - Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft - appears in 1998. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation is a new part of the series that became known to the world in 1999, but reached Russia only in 2006. Tomb Raider: Chronicles - the fifth part, which has not changed relative to the fourth. Released in 2000.
Sixth part
But the sixth part - Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness - appeared only after 3 years, in 2003. Fans were waiting for something radically new, improved, but nothing like this happened with the project.
The genre has remained the same - an action adventure with role-playing elements. Of the cardinal, a new disguise mode, some skills, as well as analysis of replicas, can be noted. The problem of the new project was the rush of developers. The fact is that they tried to release the game in parallel with the second part, but did not have time to do it. Therefore, it was necessary to significantly reduce the time for completion of work, and the game entered the market unfinished. But let's talk about her problems a little later.
Plot
The story of the new part of “Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness”, the passage of which we will soon consider, turned out to be quite fascinating. Tomb Raider gets into an unpleasant story. Her mentor is killed under unknown circumstances. Moreover, during the murder, Lara is next to him, but in an unconscious state. Naturally, the girl is suspected of a crime.
She hides from the police and comes to the friend of the deceased. When she finds out all the details of the death of her friend, she also begins to suspect Croft and again calls the police. The girl, running away, manages to pick up the diary of the late Croy.
From there, Croft learns some details of the professor’s collaboration with the criminal. Everything revolves around the obscura paintings. After passing a series of tests, the player learns that a certain alchemist is also trying to find works of art to wake the Nephilim. Lara has to go to the Louvre through the sewer, where she needs to find a picture. But Krutis Tren gets in her way. After, an attempt is made on Croft, but she successfully avoids the fateful fate and goes to Prague. Here all the main events develop.
Gameplay
So that in the game "Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness" the passage was not so difficult, it is better, of course, to begin with the first part. If you still want to play this sixth, then you need to familiarize yourself with the gameplay.
As mentioned earlier, the genre of the game is an adventure action movie. There are some RPG elements here, but they are almost invisible. Lara often communicates with some characters who are non-player. She must choose certain cues, which, of course, affect the outcome and plot. By the way, in order for the player to understand how serious everything is, you need to know that any incorrect answer can lead to Lara's death.
Do not forget about the stealth mechanics, which appeared in this part. Croft can now camouflage, knock down opponents to the ground, jam them. It can also move silently, lean against surfaces and peep out of buildings. In general, it was initially stated that in the game "Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness" the passage will take more than 20 hours. In practice, it turned out that some gamers are coping for 10.
Walkthrough
So, directly worth moving on to the passage. The plot consists of several dozen missions. Some are very simple, in them you only need to communicate with a certain character. There are also such tasks that you will have to “sweat” over.
In principle, for avid gamers, the game is quite simple. Everything is clear immediately: for example, in the first mission, when Lara runs away from the police, you find a chocolate bar that restores the heroine's health. If you go to the box, then Lara herself will indicate that you can climb on it. To cling to the balcony, you just need to jump, and the heroine herself will do everything. The main difficulties are usually found specifically with dialogs.
The second mission is collective. Lara temporarily needs to move around the rooms, collect first-aid kits, boxes, weapons and ammunition. We'll have to push cabinets, look for chocolates and other items that are useful to us.
In the next mission there are several alternative options, so you can go through it as you like. You can climb the roof very quickly, pick up a first-aid kit, get up again, take coins - and that’s almost all. There is a longer option, in which you can even get an improvement in strength.
Conversations
Next is the mission in which we meet with Madame Cavi. The only thing needed is to pick up the dead man’s diary. If we are rude to her, we will have to look for him on our own, but if we are polite to her, then she herself will give him to us. In the next mission, you must definitely talk to the girl Denis.
Then again we will have to look for cartridges and first-aid kits. And then the task will be more useful. You need to return either, if you have not been there, go to the cafe to the bartender, who will give us the code for the door. We will need to enter it and enter the building.
But in the next mission again will have to talk with a woman. There will be an alternative option, in which you need to meet a person in the garden. Both the bartender and this man need a box. Only which of them you bring it to you to decide. One will give you the key to the rear entrance to the club, the other will give you the key to the garage.
In general, conversations in all missions are quite important. Especially if you do not want to use codes in the game "Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness". Better to always be polite and compliant. Guards are better to calm than to kill. In addition, many non-player characters will not only help in the development of the plot, but will also get objects and an upgrade for you.
Difficulties
Difficulties begin when you get to the Hall of Seasons. They say this is the most difficult part of the game, well, or one of those. Nevertheless, it is very interesting and beautiful here. Here begins the difficult passage of the game "Tom Ryder (Lara Croft): Angel of Darkness." The "Hall of Times" immediately meets us with a puzzle.
We need to arrange the crystals by season. The first door is The Sanctuary of Flame, located on the right, in its center is a circle with a star. Here you need to wait until the fire calms down, get to the end of the hall and pick up the crystal. Now you need to return to the "Hall of Times" ("Hall of the Seasons") on the platforms.
The Breath of Hades door is also on the right, in its center is a circle with three petals. Entering here, you need to turn right, push the protruding wall and lower the lever. We jump on them to the end of the hall and take the crystal. Come back again.
The third door - Neptune's Hall - has three waves in a circle in the center. Here you need to actively act. In the room there is a knight who throws waves of fire, you must immediately run to the end of the hall. Here you need to lower the lever several times to slowly fill the pool. After that you will have to cross the corridor with spikes, deftly dodge and only there to find the third crystal. It will be easy to get into the "Hall of Seasons".
Finally, the fourth door - Wrath of the Beast - has a circle with an incomprehensible figure in the center. We go there and immediately jump over all the obstacles on the left side without stopping. We find the crystal and return.
If you think that this will end, you are mistaken. After you get all the crystals, you need to put them in place and return to the door with three waves. Go there, press the lever and fall down. Then there will be a series of obstacles, after which the maximum difficulties of the game “Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness” begin. The main task is to start a large car, for this you need to turn all 4 valves. Next, you will again need to overcome a number of obstacles. The main difficulties will begin again when it will be necessary to pick up the picture. But here, rather, it should just be lucky.
On the way to Prague
Next, you will need to get out with a picture at will. Also meet with several non-player characters. As a result, in the game “Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness”, the passage should lead us to the apartments of Won Croy. We’ll have to kill the guy in the end. Castle
In the Czech capital, you will have to endure Laddik a little, ask him for a code, get into the library and get a crystal dagger. And here is the next mission in the game “Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness” - “Fortress of Fears”, the passage of which we will now analyze, will begin after the final conversation with Laddick.
In principle, this chapter is not particularly difficult. Here Lara will need to shoot a couple of dogs. Kill several guards, as well as tinker with a bunch of boxes. The main principle of this task is that you need to move the boxes all the time, thereby not only upgrading Lara's strength, but also getting to the right rooms and walls. By the way, do not forget to collect everything found: cartridges, weapons, first-aid kits, etc.
The final
From the “Fortress of Fears”, in principle, not long before the final. The player will have the opportunity to play for teammate Lara Kurtis. In total, two missions will need to be completed. Next, we will return to the game again as Croft. There are simple missions, and there are difficult ones where you will need to cope with the Boaz boss. To defeat her, you need to aim right in the face. Then into the side holes, from which poison will erupt.
The final battle will take place in Eckhardt’s laboratory. There’s no point in telling how to complete the last mission. There are too many spoilers. The only thing will be to be patient and in some cases repeat certain actions several times.

Of course, now there are more and more of them, as the heroine has a lot of skills, weapons, etc. Previously, there were not so many codes.
