Lake Losvido is considered one of the most colorful reservoirs in Belarus. To get to it, you need to get to the Gorodok district, which is located at a distance of 25 km from the city of Vitebsk.
The beautiful view of the lake is due to the surrounding nature. The pond is framed by a pine forest, which gives it an extraordinary look. The shores of Lake Losvido are covered with reeds and reeds.
Legends
Each name has its own story, and this lake is no exception. According to one story, a man walking in these places, on the opposite bank, saw a moose and shouted: “I see a moose!” And so the name of the reservoir appeared. Another story tells that the lake has this name, as previously a large number of salmon inhabited it.
There are other legends that are associated with the so-called Napoleon trail. Lake Losvido is divided by a trail four meters wide. They say that this path was made by the parents of lovers who lived on opposite sides of the lake, for dates. According to another legend, a pan lived in these places earlier, who decided to surprise his guests by rolling them around the lake. For this, he ordered a road to be made in the shallowest part of the reservoir.

This place is popular for a reason, because there are recreation areas, among which are the recreation center "Losvido", a boat station, a hunting lodge, and also pioneer camps.
